Why does the oil from my 4-cycle Troy Bilt leaf blower run out through the air filter?

Because it's a troy bilt... Obviously the carb has become plugged

Oil runs back out of the carburetor air filter intake if I fill to oil level indicator on no oil gas mix engine. Anything wrong or am I just over filling the oil?

If it is a 4 cycle blower, you do not mix oil with the fuel....It takes straight Gas. there is an oil cap to put engine oil in crankcase, this only usually takes 2,3,4 oz. of oil. Sounds like your Spark Plug probably fouled out from having oil mixed in your gas. I would recomend changing your Spark Plug and put some Fresh GAS only in the blower, dump the old stuff out !!! You should be on your way Blowing in No Time !

what broke on it ?..drain the oil down to the right level and see if it runs., use manufactures specs on how much oil, and set in the right position to check

Sounds like you need to get a carb kit

Any 2 cycle oil will work. Then mix 1 gallon of gas to 1 container of 2 cycle engine, shake well and pour into your blower.

Your oil breather (on the side of the engine opposite the carb) may be malfunctioning/defective allowing the carb to **** oil from it. There is a breather tube that crosses over the top of the cylinder connecting the crankcase( oil) breather to the air filter housing. Check the oil level and the condition of the air filter and esp. the oil breather. It serves the same function as a PCV on a car engine.

CHECK THE SCREEN ON OUTPUT OF THE MUFFLER. ITS CALLED A SPARK ARRESTOR, THESE GET OIL FOULED AND MAKE EM A BEAR TO RUN . CLEAN IT UP AND SHE WILL RUN LIKE A CHAMP, THE CARB MIGHT NEED REBUILDING ,FUEL FILTER AND A SPARK PLUG IS THE FIRST THING TO REPLACE .. IF'N I WAS ANY HELP VOTE FOR ME ...THANKS.. JAY

May be air filter but sounds more like your muffler is stopped up. First take the muffler off and see if it runs better without it. If so, burn the carbon out of the muffler and clean the muffler port on the engine. If not, then remove the four screw at the very end and disassemble. The ait filter is in that area.
