My welder is tripping the breaker when the trigger is pulled. This does not occure every time, but quite often.

I am having the same exact problem on an old Hobart Beta Mig 200
sometimes i can weld for 5 minutes and other times as soon as I hit the trigger it trips the 50amp breaker. Any help?

Will feed wire but will not start an ark to weld

Make sure that the ground clamp is securely fastened to the workpiece.
Ensure that the power pin is fully seated into the housing where it receives the current.
Ensure that voltage and amperage settings are correct.

Will not arc

Check ground connection at welder along with your ground clamp. Bad connection could be the issue. Also check settings on your welder.

I have a hobart ironman 210 that lost all power but no circuit breakers blew switch is working but no power output to cooling fan or gun

take side panel off where power goes into unit, check for voltage ,if not go to where plug is plugged into check for power if there is power check the crows foot to make sure all three wires are tightly screwed to terminals

Hobart are very obliging, contact them and request a parts list for your set, or any Hobart welding suppliers.

Excessive wire speed on hobart ironman 250

to find out if you need a new reostat disconnect the wires from it and put an ohm meter on it and check the ohms resistance it should read up and down ohms as you turn the dial.
