My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
You did not provide a model number, which is located on a label on the top edge of your oven door when you open it.
So, I can not be exact.
Reboot your oven control system - Turn the power to your oven off at the breaker box. Wait 10 minutes and turn the breaker back on.
That is all I can suggest until I have you model number.
Hello Steven Krenz - Was the unit in self-clean mode? Try pressing and holding the "Clear/Off" button to stop any operation of the EOC. Do this at the same time while pushing and hold the light switch to the left of the door lock. Usually this will trick the oven into unlocking the door. If it is ineffective, try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and redo the steps. If door continues to maintain locked while open, the unit may possibly have a faulty door latch or a communication problem with the EOC. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.
