Picture doesn't come on. Replaced the bulb-no help. There are 2 lights: green stays on and red blinks on and off. No sound and nothing at all happens except the fans seems to run in that I can hear it.

Based on what you have described it appears you have main board issues.

SOURCE: We have sound, but no picture

If you replace the lamp and still have no video, the problem could be the ballast. Replacement cost is similar to that of replacing the lamp.

SOURCE: Replace Light Engine

I have the 62HM95 and my light engine went out between 2 and 3 years. I will never buy a Toshiba again. I have had nothing but trouble with the components and the customer support. I am in a class action lawsuit with them, but I doubt very much will come of it.

As far as fixing your TV I was in the same delimma as you. I wasn't willing to pay nearly $1000 to get this set repaired when it already cost $3000 and it started having problems within the year and major issues after 2-3 years. I was willing to risk a couple hundred bucks that I could fix it myself. If you aren't very handy with taking things apart and putting them back together, by all means don't do this. It is pretty easy to do and you can figure it out as you go, but I wouldn't suggest you doing this if you weren't willing to take the risk of really messing it up.

I didn't go to Part Store.com because they wanted $456 and then when I finally decided to do it they raised the price to $556...No way, I found http://www.tristatemodule.com/html/light_engines.html and you can get a light engine that is refurbished for $250, or you can have your light engine refurbished for $200, which is what I plan to do if this one fails in the next two years. I looked at their site and it doesn't show that they have any in stock, but they may if you call. I wasn't comfortable sending mine off to be refurbished because I wasn't sure if I would remember how to put it back together, and I'm glad I didn't because the one they sent me didn't work, which sucks, but it happens. I called them back and sent it back to them and it worked fine. All in all, I had no instructions or any other help besides my memory of how I disassembled it and it only took me an hour at the most, not really too hard.

The only other issue I had with them and it really wasn't with them as much as Toshiba is, I received a light engine for a 46" model, which when I talked to Toshiba they swore up and down that it wouldn't work, when I talked to TriState about it they said that Toshiba would say that and they had used it in 1,000's of 62" models and it's worked fine. After they replaced the broken one they sent originally, the new one worked fine and is still working brilliantly and I have my original 62" light engine to get refurbished if anything should happen again. Their shipping time was good and when I returned the product to them, I received a working part pretty quickly.

For $250, this would be the only way I would go. If this hadn't worked, I probably would have just went out and got a different TV. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: no pic...humming noice on 62'' toshiba dlp

was the lamp blown if it was blown you could be hearing the ballast
if the lamp was not blown and the new one did not fix it the red light indicates the door there is a little switch when you put the door back on if you look at it it may need to be adjusted so it will connect with the door if that is not it you could have a fan that is not turn if it is making a real loud constant humming noise while it trying to fire the lamp you probably have a bad color wheel

Wd60c9 lights blinking green sometimes, then yellow and finally red and no picture for any significant length of time

2 possibilities. First, the bulb which allows you to view your picture could be burned out. If that is the case, your tv will turn on and you will hear audio but no picture. $85 for a new warranted bulb from Shopjimmy.com. Second possibility. If your TV is on with no picture or sound, you probably have a light engine problem.$325. I don't think it's your light engine. Just don't have enough information. Check the first possibility first. The bulb takes less than 5 minutes to replace. Don't buy just the bulb, buy it with the housing. It doesn't cost more, it costs less and saves a ton of aggravation. Don't touch the bulb with your fingers, use latex gloves when working on electronics.

Magnavox tv when the power button is pressed the green light comes on but nothing else happens; there's no picture or sound or nothing; but the green light simply stays lit (no blinking).

Hello,

first, press the channel -/+ button on the TV. If that doesn't turn on the TV, then it means you have to replace the bulb of your TV. The bulb is most likely dead.

Replace the bulb and your TV should be restored.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Regards.

Red/green lights both blink and tv will on turn on

Are the red and green lights blinking at the same rate or not? If the green light is blinking every 3 seconds and the red light is blinking every 1/2 second, the lamp door is not properly secured. If both lights are blinking at 1 second intervals, try replacing the lamp. If a new lamp doesn't solve the problem, the TV needs service.

I hope this helps.

You tv used lamp XL-2400 or also known as F93087500. It is very common for this bulb to fail and have the exact symptom you are experiencing. I cant count how many times I have seen it.. Replace the lamp with either the exact Sony or an OEM and you will be back in business..
Good Luck!!
