I have a 50" LG Plasma that has lost color only with the tv

Check whether you have didactically adjusted the clolor blindness adjustment. Refer its user manual for details. Here is some details about this adjustment.
Partial Color Blind Person Mode

• Using this function, a user can adjust the red, green or blue

colors according to the preferences of the partially color-blind
person so that he or she can view the clearest possible picture
on the screen. Check this. If not: the white balance adjustment to this set has been disturbed.

Faults to all LCD & Plasma screen are similar, irrespective of its brand and screen size.

My guess is that you're not missing the color it just appears muted... That problem is a common one in both the 50 and 60 inch models. And if you change video mode with nothing hooked up you'll see a faint color where none should be...
That's simply dust in the optical block on one of either the red, blue or green lcd panel. Wipe it down with a non-linting cloth and a "light" amount of windex and you're back in business...
But check it out by switchin through the video modes with nothing hooked up.. The faint color you see if the lcd panel that's having the most problem and the one that's muting your green.

AJUST VS VSC VOLTAGES

Your convergence probably needs to be adjusted. Somewhere on your menus will be an entry for Auot Convergence or just Convergence. The TV will normally display a set of lines in 2 or 3 different colors. You would then adjust the lines so that they line up perfectly. That should take care of the issue.

You have to adjust the colors in the menu manually. It can be done but look at the manual online if you need help finding where in the tv menu the color adjustments are located. Best of luck and yes, you can adjust them manually and not use a preset scheme.

that could be a high voltage that feeds the panel, that can be adjusted (that voltage need to be verified first)
Also there is a couple of boards that may be creating the problem (X & Y main boards )
