NO sound when i receive a text message, how do i fix it?

Most device queries get better responses if the device, brand, model and operating system are mentioned, along with any error messages. How to fix Samsung Galaxy S4 that can't receive text ...

Check your blocking mode make sure its off in my device of your settings.

Go into you text setting on your phone and select the option that you wish to have for you alert for receiving text messages, or consult your manual that you got with the cell phone on how to set the text alert message signaling.

Try switching off the receiving of delivery report upon sending a message. This you will find in message settings.

Check your phone memory status because if its full then probably you will not going to receive text messages. Free some space by deleting pictures, sounds or etc so that there's a room for your message to be received.

it does sound like you are not hooked up to the internet on the phone contact att and see if you connected to the internet to be able to download pictures that sound be the problem hope this was helpful

You'll have to call your service provider. The SIM card stores a phone number for the network's text message center. For some reason, this phone has a glitch where it deletes the center number. Your service provider might be able to update it remotely but I had to take the SIM out and place it in an older phone so I could enter the text message center number manually. This fixed the problem.
