My ps3 super slim model CECH-4001B KEEPS ON TURN OFF CAUSE IT SAYS OF OVERHEATING. BUT ITS NOT EVEN HOT. PLUS THE FAN GOES NUTS TOO. HOW CAN I FIX THIS PLEASE HELP ME....?

bought it dead or failed out of the blue and worked great for years?
lots of causes.
overheating from all vents full of lint inside too.
the sony play station ,3 has tricky hidden vents, that are pesky to see and clean. out.
the huge fan and huge heatsink fins must be fully clean.
or
bad PSU module. (power supply module inside)
bad main board (mobo)
or shorted BR ODD drive ( optical disk drive)
or shorted hdd (mines SSD)

best is have 2x, PS3. so you can swap parts, like I just did.
gee they're cheap now used.

if bought like that dead, vast more, I have a list.
in that case mostly using wrong parts caused.

Could be the Laser, Spindle motor, Laser track assembly,Or small relay which connects when the lid is drawn across. Have you tried an Audio CD? Also cleaning the laser iris when the power is off with a soft cotton bud and some lens cleaning solution. Take off rubber feet on bottom use a Phillips screw driver.... Then you'll have four Torx screws on the bottom front of console remove those.. Remove hard drive screw and it should pop right open

The system may have been connected with a different video type. Like hdmi, or rca. If you hold down the power button for ten seconds or so, until it beeps a few times, then let it start up, it should fix itself.

if you are getting no LED and no error code on the screen, the power supply may be bad

You can do this fan test.
Turn the main switch off, hold the eject button.

While holding the eject button, turn the main switch on, when the power light is green, release it, it will beep
The fan will operate at the highest speed possible and will eject any disc that is inside.
After about 15 seconds the fan will stop spinning and the ps3 will beep 3 times and blink a red light.
When this happens, turn the main switch off and on then turn it on normally.

P.S. It will not harm your ps3, It's testing the cooling fan.

It is freezing because your playstation is to close to the tv and its getting to hot...it is due to overheating you are having this problem ... so try moving it to another spot....you must take care to keep it properly vented.......
The system is prone to overheating, particularly if you happened to have bought older stock.
One way to deal with this is to stand it vertical, and put a small desk fan behind it.Turn on the fan when you turn on the game. I know it's an annoyance but it is a very simple and effective way to work around the problem.
DO NOT use an intercooler fan or any cooling device that gets power from the playstation. It just makes it worse.

when thermal compound fails it gets overheated so you need to look into this too ...replacing the thermal compound on the heat syncs and it should only cost about $5.00 to fix your playstation.
