Messaging why can't I send a pix mess. but I can send text?

I have this problem once in awhile. It seems to happen when I am included in a group text or picture message. So if someone sends me a picture for example, but at the same time they send it to 3 others & you are included in that group, that's when I have issues. I have told everyone on my contact list, that I know it takes more time & that I am sorry for the inconvenience, but if they have something to send to me, they have to send it to me alone, separately, not in a group text. Try telling your contacts that & it should help.

Depends on your service provider. I believe there is a default setting or tap the softkey to change. You may want to check on forums.motorola.com. i would also check www.motorola.com/support

i had this problem before, and what had happened was that my phone company had accidently messed with my account and didnt allow me to send text or recieve messages, so i would advise you to call your phone company and see if they have something to do with it.

what type of messages are pix mess.?? be specific .. maybe your phone does not support the said file.. usually pix messages are originated in NOKIA phones and are just read by other brands...

Hey, I just bought the same phone from ebay, and it was preflashed for cricket too. My phone had the same exact problem. I called cricket technical support at 1-800-274-2538 and they refreshed my flashing while i was on the phone with them. As soon as I got off the phone with them my phone worked perfectly. How can I use the messaging features on my Motorola phone? To send a text message:

• Enter your Message menu
• Scroll to Create Message and Select
• In the To: field, either enter a telephone number**, e-mail address**, or Browse your Phonebook, Received or Dialed Calls list.
  
• Enter your message in the MSG: field
• Select done when you have completed the To: and MSG: fields
• Confirm that you would like to send the message now

To use MMS Template open an MMS template with preloaded media - Select M, Messages, Create Message, and then PIX Templates
To read a new text or multimedia message that you have received - Press Read (Right Soft Key).
To Store Message Objects - Go to a multimedia message slide, or highlight an object in a letterand select Menu, and then Store
To send or create a quick note message - Select Menu, Messages, and then Quick Notes
To view sent messages - Select Menu, Messages, and then Outbox
To read received messages - Select Menu, Messages, and then Inbox
Tip: Press Menu to perform various operations on the message.
To view messages saved in drafts folder - Select Menu, Messages, and then Drafts

I've had the same issue, and I was told that in order to send or recieve picture messages, you have to subscribe to Verizon's Internet plan. The reason that you can still send and recieve text messages is because it's on a different system. I was a bit peeved when I found this out after the fact.
