You usually have to remove a couple screws from the back panel to get to the element and in others u can remove it from within if u look inside u should be able to see if it has a screw holding it. and the connecting plugs can be removed from the element

I have a ZDF20X double oven and the main bottom oven is not heating, The fan and light are working but it is not heating. HOw do I repair this - is it an element and how do i replace ? Thanks v much.

Most likely it is a faulty oven heating element.

You will need to replace the element.

Usually the element is a circular shape which is situated near the fan, normally you will need to remove the back of the oven, Switch off the power at the wall first, locate the element and remove the fixing screws and electrical connections then fit the new element and reconnect.

Only attempt this replacement if you are confident to do so and have a basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.

Zanussi built in oven and grill the element has gone but dont know how to get element out to replace any ideas thanks

Hello,
If you mean the fan element then take all the racks out of oven and at the back is a panel with 4 screws remove may need a tap with hammer and screwdriver to shock rust etc. then undo screws on element maybe 3 screws pull gently forward(electric off).Try to pull the spade connectors off without losing them into back of oven if you lose them then you will have to take out oven and remove back plate. refit new element. If it was the grill element just follow above and find behind back plate.Hope I helped.

My zanussi zbf360 will not heat up in the oven ,the fan works fine as you can hear it and the grill still works ,any ideas what it can be ,

This tutorial will show you how to check your Zanussi element and how to replace your Zanussi cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Zanussi manual.
  2. If you're Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Recently wired a double oven with isolator switch

Hi, there's definitely a electrical problem.
First, use the bottom oven only for about 15 minutes and check if it doesn't trip.
Second, use just the grill (top oven) for about 15 minutes and check if it doesn't trip.
The reason is sometimes grill elements are corroded and only trip after a few minutes.
Also, if both ovens work ok on their own, then it could be your fuse box not strong enough, or the isolator switch fuse be only 13amp. If your oven is more than 3Kw (check the label on the door for info) then you need a 30amp fuse to hold when both ovens are on.
Cheers

Zanussi oven not heating

The fan element was not working, bought one on ebay replaced it works ok now. Fairly easy to fix remove inside back cover, 4 screws, you will see the element remove 3 screws pull out element pull off 2 connectors careful not to lose the wires back through the holes. replace in reverse order.
