I've had my 88CD for several year now and enjoy it very much. Recently, however, the digital clock display has been going dark so that it can't be read unless I shine a light directly at it. Then, it will come back on and remain on for a day or so and then go off again.
I suspect that if I send it to Cambridge Sound Works for repair it's going to be extremely expensive and take a long time.
Any ideas as to what the problem is and how it could be fixed without me having to be violated by Cambridge Sound Works?
Most likely its the digital display is burnin out, If your farmilar with electronics and soldering, you can just order the part and replace it yourself. If not shop around for a cheaper rrepair technician in your area.
all i could locate was this and either there site no longger exsists or is under maintance. I can get the page to load.

Thank you for your speedy reply.
Where can I get the parts list for the 88CD so that I can order the right display? It's probably in the back of the owner's manual, which I can't seem to find.
Thanks again!
