There is a small red clip that holds a stabilizing spring (notice items 7 & 8 in the graphic) which attaches to the top of the tub cover at the front, left side. You might be able to push the tub assembly to the back, right corner to better see this, but it is easiest to reinstall with the top of the machine removed. If the clip is broken or the spring stretched they will need to be replaced. The unit can work without these parts, but is more likely to experience out of balance problems.

I need to installhow to install a new deflector on Craftsman mower model 917273130?

Very simple. The 6 inch or so pin that holds it on is retained by a clip on one end. To remove clip use a pair of pliers. If you work steadily and carefully you will be able to reuse this clip. After removing clip, pull the pin out. Old deflector and spring be removed now. To get the spring right you have to try it in position before installing it. Just remember that the spring is holding the deflector down so when you are done installing, when you pick up on the deflector there is pressure holding it down. Don't put the pin clip on until you verify the spring force is correct because getting that spring clip off is the Hardesty pay off the job.

Sharp r520kst door won't stay shut

If the door will not stay closed it is the spring inside door, or the small plastic piece that holds the spring which is attached to the $80.00 piece called outer door.
To fix it, it is EASY and you do not have to even take the inside cover all the way off. Just remove the three sides of cover by gently slipping a plastic putty knife around rim to release the clips. Then attach the spring to the small hole below where the plastic piece used to be, which is located in the metal on the glass frame piece, use tweezers, hold the other end of spring as you place spring onto plastic door latch and set into place!
Snap the inside cover back on and YAY! FINI!

Small spring is hanging red clip on floor tub dose not look level water coming out around sides an top when it spins

this is one of several drum balancing spring clips and it broke or popped-off. This will for sure make the spin cycle shake the drum very much and spill water. Nedd to open the machine housing and replace/repair the spring.

GWL10U2 tends to get out of balance no matter how big or small the load is.

i would have a look inside of it as there are some springs that hold the drum in the right place if one of the springs has broken or fell of this is the reson its jumping round the room on spin out of balance,,,its an easy fix if you can do the job yourself,

The board is a bit different than the standard 360 with different cooling fans. Also a small clip fell off from somewhere?? The thin 1-1.5" long by 1/3" inch clip appears to be a ground clip between the MB...

If the clip you are referring to is of thin metal then it's a guide that keeps your DVD drive in place, it's also not needed.
The E74 error, like the Red ring problems, can be stubborn to fix. It very much depends on the exact method you used to fix your console. If you'd like to discuss this further contact me at [email protected]

Washer making loud noise. Shuts off, not draining.

It appears that you have an imbalanced load, or a nearly balanced load with a machine that easily goes off balance during spin. I would suggest:
1. After the unit trips on imbalance and stops spinning, open the lid and redistribute the laundry load inside to balance its weight equally around the interior of the drum. Note that cotton fabrics hold much more water than synthetics, and this has resulted in imbalanced loads even though they visually appear to be balanced. Close lid to restart spin.
2. Remove the front panel and check both tensioning/centering springs on the sides of the tub. A loose spring could easily cause the machine to go off balance.
3. Finally, check the main bearng play by holding the drum steady and moving the top of the agitator spindle horizontally toward the rim of the tub. Any excessive play is a clear indicator that bearing is excessively worn and may be resulting in an unbalanced load.

The spring attacted to the drum has come undone. How do you replace it?

Hi Sleepy.
When you say "spring" are you talking about the small spring attached between the left-front shock rod and the small red tab on the tub rim, or are you talking about one of the tub support rods/shock absorbers? If it's the latter, it has probably broken and has to be replaced. What I usually see happen is that the rod pulls right out of the angular bracket that supports the rod. if the rod came undone it is very easy to re-install it, you hook the bottom round "bearing" onto the tub, lift the rod up and set the angled bracket back into the corner of the cabinet. if this angled bracket is still attached to the corner and you see a rod and spring, then you broke the shock rod. If this is the case, they are sold in sets of 4 and you can get them here:

Drum out of balance

There are a few things that can cause this issue.
1. The counter balance spring broke or the mounting hole for the spring rusted through.
2. One or more snubber pads may have come off.
3. The suspension springs may have stretched or broke.

Start by removing the shell as follows:
A.) Look in the back of the console, in each corner there will be a screw, unscrew until the console can be pushed forward.
B.) With console lifted you will find a lid switch connector (white in color). Unplug the switch from the connector.
C.) There will be two brass colored clips. Place a flat blade screwdriver straight down into the opening on top of the washer and into the groove of the clip. Push the screwdriver down and away from you and the clip will release.
D.) Open the lid of the washer and place your hand under the front rim of the opening (DO NOT grab the wash tub). Tilt and slide cabinet forward to remove.

1.) The counter balance spring is located in the bottom rear. It should be attached between the cabinet and a bracket on the tub.
2.) Inspect snubber and corner pads. May be brown or white in color.

3.) Inspect suspension springs.

2. One or more snubber pads may have come off.
3. The balance ring may have come loose from the basket or the ring has been damaged and the fluid has leaked out..

Start by removing the shell as follows:
A.) The trim on either side can be pried off from the top, grasp and pull forward to expose to expose a screw.

3. Remove tub ring by pushing down then lifting each locking tab.
Inspect balance ring for proper fit and any cracks. By moving/shaking ring you should hear liquid sloshing around.
