My samsung ref almost caught fire. model # RS2630WW has melted wire and computer board

Start by turning off the ref.
Pull the plug.

This problem could be caused by the motherboard having defective relays, bad fan motor=> DA31-00103A Fan Motor Sounds like someone will need to examine the fan motor and test the voltage to the fans inside and outside the refrigerator. You will need to have this done to eliminate what the cause is. Both condensor and evaporator fan motors are the same part=> DA31-00103A Fan Motor Let me know and I will explain how to remove, test or replace the freezer/evaporator fan motor, wiring or motherboart. The drain in the freezer behind back lower panel
needs opening. You can see it at the bottom of the back panel
underneath the evaporator coils. (The cold coils)
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
When the defrost melts the water it goes down the drain
If the drain is clogged with Ice or ? The defrost water
overflows into the ref. or freezer or on floor
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system.The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater,heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. Place the device computer in an aircondiotioned room would least require internal cool from the circuits. Also. consult tiwtha technician to decide the apporiet menas sto resolve.

hi,i want to tell you i don't work on samsung fridges,they just don't give techs any info,you have to work with samsung to get any info but on any other fridge if the strip is hot or really warm either the condenser coil on the bottom is clogged with dust or the condenser fan isn't running to cool off the compressor and blow the hot air across the condenser coil,so remove the bottom front kick panel and see if the coil is clogged,they have had alot of problems with the computer board to so if the board is bad the fan might not be blowing fast enough to cool it down but check it to see if the fan is blowing,pull the fridge out,remove the bottom panel and check the fan,i've seen other machines do this,and the fan has to be ordered,if you get a house fan and blow it on the back where the compressor is it should help cool it down so you don't cook your compressor and you won't loose any food until you get it fixed.i hope this helps you out and good luck,call whoever you bought it from or call samsung and they will send a certified tech there to help you out or go here to look up parts,if it is the fan motor you can replace it if you want to give it a shot.go here put your model number in and look up parts

You need for that to be done now so the refrigerator compressor does not get hurt. I can give you part numbers for the condenser fan and the evaporator. Some Samsung's have three fans. Some have control boards and others have timers. Tell me whitch fan you are having a problem with, Sea Breeze

go to partstore buy the part # DA97-01949A and fix it you can put the fan in back refrigerator keep it cool when the part come and fix it

Samsung rs2630ww i have had endless problems i have had it replaced 4 times. red hot center and side panels i have had 2 condensers burn. the problem is that it is simply badly designed!
there is not enough air flow . so if it has any restriction it kills the unit. a Samsung tech told me off the record these units are all problematic! of course he love it at 200 an hour.
