Make sure it's on the correct am/pm. Also, make sure that it's not set to radio, or auxiliary, or anything. If it's still not working, I would try to return it.

For the past two days, my alarm has been silent and I can't figure out why. I've tried putting the volume up, resetting the alarm sound and the alarm but nothing is working and the alarm still won't sound....

The setting for the alarm is actually independent from the rest of the phone volumes. When you go the set the alarm and get to the alarm sound list, use the volume rocker on the side of the phone to set the alarm volume.

For some reason, the Hero has a habit of screwing around with the volumes for the alarm. It happened to me a few times where my alarm got muted.

Thanks for looking and good luck.

SNK Fratelli Evolution FREV905S-S Stainless Steel electonic clock and timer running slowly

This is from Tim at JMAppliances 2/24/2011:
These clocks are built to operate at 50 cycles(Europe) and 60 cycles(USA) and this is controlled by the audible alarm setting. The clock has to be set on the loudest (highest tone) alarm for the clock to operate at the correct setting. You control the loudness of the alarm by pushing the minus button (second from the right) repeatedly until you here the loudest (highest) sounding tone. Leave it at that setting and the clock will work fine.

Hope this helps

Htc hero alarm not working.... no sound when alarm goes off

I had this problem with my Orange Hero too - there is a fix but it's quite obscure.
When you're inside the "choose an alarm sound" menu and scrolling through the list,
if you press the volume buttons on the side of the phone then you can manually adjust
the alarm sound (mine was set to 0). Not sure what causes it to set to zero,
presumably when you take the phone off silent mode it sometimes fails to update the
alarm as well? This still needs looking at because it means the alarm volume resets
to zero of its own accord, but it can at least be managed by manual readjustment.
Hope this helps!

P.S. It might also be worth noting that when I was having this problem, no
third-party alarm apps would play the stock alarm sounds either.

No sound no nothing !

make sure :
1- the the speakers are connected to the sub woofer correctly
2- the sound driver is installed on your computer ( you can check that from Device Manager )
3- that you connected the sub woofer jack to the correct jack of your computer
4- the volume parameter is set to highest in your computer

if nothing works out then i suggest connecting the speakers to another device ( like ipod or mp3 player )

if either this won't work then the speakers are obviously corrupted :)

Turning the Alarm Volume up

try keeping the system off for over 2 weeks as this fully resets the whole systems memory (this does make you loose your radio preset's and any other tweeks you have done to it) but with a reset unit it should fix its self
