Blue power light comes on with yellow light underneath. You can hear the startup for a few seconds and then it shuts itself down. Monitor blue light comes on and then it too shuts down. Used it late last night and left it on. It was off this morning. I have checked power supply and connections. Help please.

Does the machine make any beeping noises? if so pay attention to a short/long pattern and how many beeps. Similar to morse code but slower.Does the machine make any beeping noises? if so pay attention to a short/long pattern and how many beeps. Similar to morse code but slower.

I have a toshiba 50hm67 tv and with mine the blue light would come on and I would hear sound first and then the picture would finally come on... this happend for about a month.... next the yellow and blue light would come on but the pic still wouldn't come on until it clicked off and on by itself for about 10 min this went on for about a week. All of a sudden last night the red lights by the power light started blinking. No tv now and when the tv shut off it said lamp not working.
Ok, another words, monitor powers up for few seconds and shuts down by itself. If green LED on the front panel turns off as well or stays on? If stays on, then inverter turns into protection mode because of old backlight lamps. If it turns off in same time with an image on the screen, then there are some bad electrolytic capacitors in the power supply.
The entire "side surface" is the button. Press "in" if you're wearing it or "down" if you're holding it in your hand with the earbud facing down into your fingers. You'll feel a click. Hold it down for a few seconds until you hear the startup sound if you're wearing it or you see the blue light come on a few times if you're holding it. Hope it helps.
