Unfortunately it is a security feature to protect your data so no you are unable to change or reset it if you forget, about the only option is to reset your phone and loose all of your data.

So you've forgotten the password to unlock it? Have you tried to use the PUK code that comes written on your contract or sometimes on the box the phone came in?

if you've forgotten your password, then try reseting your your phone, so that it comes back to normal, try using master reset codes from http://www.unlock-free.com/ to bring it back to the original state

If you've forgotten your password, remove the sim or if your able to access your phone then type *#2767*2878# and your phone will restart. This resets the eprom of your phone. This resets all the active lock paswords and you can re-enter new passwords.
If you want to check the status of your locks, remove the sim or if you have access to your phone, punch in *#7645625# and you will get a list of all the available locks and their status.

To get the Master reset code call the service provider and reset it....

If you forget your password, call you cellular phone company for assistance.
