Hi anthony, KO is correct, however, I would recommend his first option. That is working best for my supervisor.

You can use Chromecast to wirelessly stream Netflix to your TV from a computer or phone over your home WiFi. As an alternative, you can buy a Roku device like the Roku Streaming Stick which plugs directly into your TV. Both devices can be had for less than $50, but in both cases you need a free HDMI port to connect the device, and home WiFi. Here are links to the Roku and Chromecast on Amazon:

How can I hook up my 50-inch Emerson TV to Netflix

If the TV itself is not internet-ready then you would have to have a streaming device-Roku or other-to do that.

Some cable DVRs have 'Widgets' for streaming services.

Or, from a cell phone with Netflix, if the TV has HDMI video, the Google Chromecast device will let you cast your cell phone display onto the TV.

Without the model # of the TV, no other way to advise different ideas than these generalities.

How do I hook-up Netflix through a Sony Blu-Ray player and a LG television

If your Sony Blu-Ray player and LG TV are recent models, each should have an HDMI cable connection. HDMI is an method to connect your digital video and audio devices with just a single combined cable. In the case of your LG TV, using an HDMI cable will allow you to send the HD video signal to your TV's screen, and allow you to hear the sound through the TV's speakers.
Your LG TV may have multiple HDMI connectors, to allow other devices to send signals to your TV, such as a cable box or satellite box or digital video recorder (DVR). Your Sony Blu-Ray player will usually have just a single HDMI connector.
Purchase an HDMI cable from your local electronics store. There are different versions of the HDMI specification, and you should get a cable that you can verify is certified for the HDMI version 1.4 specification.
Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the Blu-Ray player, and the other end into one of the HDMI connectors on the TV, noting which one you selected.
When you turn on your Sony Blu-Ray and your LG TV, you should use the remote for the LG TV to select the input source. Your LG remote should allow you to select the HDMI input connector you used, at which point you should see the display of a DVD playing on the Blu-Ray player. If you cannot hear the sound, use the LG remote to increase the TV volume.

How do I watch netflix on tv as I have signed up for netflix on line

Your tv needs to have a connection to the internet. If the tv does not have it, you can use a peripheral like a game system that has internet access. A lot of newer tv's have internet access with direct links to Netflix and other online viewing providers. You can also hook up a computer to your tv with a cable and mirror or extend the display to the tv. Then connect to Netflix through your computer.

Netflix without cable tv?

You'll need a broadband connection to the Internet to do Netflix. I'm assuming you currently have a bundle; Internet with your cable TV. So you can get rid of cable tv and just have Internet through the cable company or if it's available DSL via the telephone company. You could also get Internet via Satelite, but it cost more.

Can I keep Netflix without internet and cable tv?

Yes you can but you need the internet to watch it. Without a internet connection the only option left would be to view it through your phone. Again though your phone would have to have web access.

I got an LG LCD HD TV from friend with a power chord. That is it. I am without any other cables. What do I need to watch netflix on this ? can i hook my ipad to it some how and watch netflix on TV ? If yes,...

maybe just an RGB video cable if all you want is a picture, or an HDMI cable (pricier) if you want an HD Picture AND sound from the TV. it looks like a USB jack but a USB plug won't fit it.
