Hi, I just change the belt for the bread maker and assembled it, turned it on and tried it without and ingredients, I tried kneading and after I saw it worked I cancelled the program, then tried bake, and it smelt normal (metal heating up), then tried to cancel, since it wouldn't cancel I unplugged it and left it. Today I tried to plug in the bread maker and no lights :(..... nothing... the panel doesn't light up ... any suggestion's?

Hi,
Most likely needs a new belt... Do an online search for "bread machine parts" (with your model number).... Most bread machine belts wear out after a couple of years even if you didn't use the machine very often because the belts dry out and start fraying over time which causes the paddles to not turn or to do what yours are doing... then the belt breaks and paddles will stop completely..
We've changed numerous belts on lots of different bread machines and most belts are very reasonably priced and very easy to change... Shop around for prices... I have seen some places charge double.. so make sure you do your homework before ordering a belt...
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Linda
You may need to replace your belt. Sometimes belts will slip if they are older models. Newer bread machines have belts with tiny teeth or cogs in them that align with the cogs on the pulley wheels. They don't slip like the older serpentine belts. sometimes a new belt will help. There are several videos on you tube of how to replace and install bread machine belts.
some bread machines warm the ingredients before any mixing starts. If your breamachine doesn't start mixing within 1/2 hour then you DO have a problem. Give it a half hour before you assume it is broken.
It sounds as though your timing belt has broke. The timing belt, located at the bottom of your machine, drives the kneading paddle to mix the ingredients. You'll need to remove the bottom cover to verify my guess.

Hi, If you are doing everything as before and not getting the desired results then it could be that the belts are slipping and not allowing the paddles to fully incorporate all the ingredients. Either that or the paddles themselves are sticking and not moving freely. The belt problem is an easy fix but if the paddles are sticking then it could be the sealed bearings the paddles rotate in is failing and a new bread pan is needed. To check this, take the empty pan and paddles out of the machine and see if you can turn the paddles freely by hand. if no then the sealed bearings are failing. If they turn okay then it could be the belts. Belts and motor are located in the base of the machine. Unplug machine before checking them. Also, make sure the pan is seated correctly in the machine. Without knowing the specific ingredients in your recipe and having no experience with gluten free flour I am basing this on what I know about bread makers in general. I have owned dozens!
1) If the onion spice you are adding is something like a mix (onion soup mix for example) then you may get better results if you cut back on the salt by about 1/2. Also, next time when your machine starts the rapid knead (after the beginning slow knead) if the dough looks like batter instead of a dough ball add about 1 tablespoon slowly trickled in over about 10 seconds. Watch the dough ball and see if it starts to look a little dryer. The goal is to not have the gooey batter on the bottom of the pan. The slow addtions of flour will do that for you. If this works please leave a testimonial. I like helping fellow bread machine makers and getting feed back! Best of Luck with your next effort!
Hi, It could be two things that has happened. The easy fix is that the belt has fallen off the pulley and not turning the paddle or the belt itself is snapped. Secondly, it could be that the sealed bearing in the bottom of the bread pan is frozen. See if you can spin the paddle by hand. If no..then it's frozen. (try putting hot water in the pan to see if it frees up. If after a few tries it does not then the bread pan needs to be replaced). The motor and pulley assembly is located inside the base of the machine.
After its mixed the ingredients and before it cooks, it should sit for a while to allow the mix to rise. Check that the heater is on in this period, otherwise, if its cold, it wont rise
I had the same problem after storing my machine for several years, BUT, I lucked out...I just added a little warm water to my pan and then turned the machine on and let the paddle turn a few rotations and walla!!....it freed itself and is now making great loaves once again!
