- Navigate to the Wii Menu by pressing the HOME button on a Wii Remote and selecting "Wii Menu."
- Look at the date and time displayed on the Wii Menu and ensure they are correct. If incorrect, they will need to be changed in order for you to complete the PIN reset process. You will not be able to reset the PIN until the date is correct.
- Select the Wii Options icon in the lower-left corner of the Wii Channel Menu.
- Select "Wii Settings."
- Click on the blue arrow to reach the Wii System Settings 2 menu options.
- Select "Parental Controls," then "Yes."
- Enter your PIN or select "I forgot."
- Answer your secret question or tap "I forgot."
- If you know the answer to your secret question, enter it to unlock parental controls. The system will go to the change parental controls screen and you will be able to change your PIN.
- Be sure to enter the secret question exactly as you originally typed it, as the answer is case sensitive.
- If you don't know the answer to your secret question, tap "I forgot."
- A screen will appear showing you a request code.
- With that request code, you will need to do a request that involves charging US$0.50 from a credit card, to confirm that you're an adult. Or should your kids try to circumvent your parental code, it will show up on your credit card bill.
