Pdf file cannot open

This error usually comes from saving a file in the wrong format.
This is most likely a PDF file.
Get Adobe Reader by clicking on the link I provided.
After you installed it. Either change the files "last name" to .PDF, or download the file again, saving it as a PDF file this time (not html). http://get.adobe.com/en/reader/

To open a .pdf file you use Adobe Acrobat reader. a Doc file you open with Word.
But from what camera do you need a manual?
If you have a manual, try changing the extension of the file to pdf

Could be you need the latest Adobe pdf file reader on your computer to open the files. Software can be such a PIA. Can also be because you are using firefox 8, a real old version of the browser. Update the browser!

Download pdf file from your email then, save to USB flash drive. Install pdf installer. download from google and install. After installing try to insert ur USB flash drive and open your pdf file.

If your only intention is to open .pdf files and not Adobe Reader X problem, then there is a easy solution to open the .pdf files. You can use Foxit Reader or Nitro PDF Viewer as a PDF decoding software, These can give you the same results ( in some cases, more than you want!!!) with respect to Adobe Reader X. Amongst these PDF viewer, I recommend you to use Foxit Reader, as this is very much lightweight with respect to Adobe Reader (About 14 times smaller) and handy.

And if you still want to use Adobe Reader X, then you should uninstall it and try re-installing it again, because it may be the problem of file corruption or improper installation of Adobe Reader.

May be the file is actually damaged, or may be your PDF Reader is actually damaged.
First try to download the PDF file from different source(s) and then try opening that file.
If it doesn't work, go for different PDF Readers. Like you may try the Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader to open that file.

try the steps below:
1. Right-Click on the PDF file.
2. Select Properties
3. On the General tab,
3.1. Check the Opens with: if its set to Adobe Reader
If not, click the Change button and select Adobe Reader

If the same thing happens, Uninstall all Adobe Reader installed on your computer. It is an indication that the installation is corrupted that's why it is not being detected.

I suggest that you can try to use Foxit PDF Reader instead which for me I find very convenient in opening PDF files.
