How do you oil the singer xl.1000

The Singer XL1000 is self oiling and doesn't require user oiling. I have attached a link to dowload the manual (free) for your reference.

I do recommend you have the machine serviced at least once every two years with regular use. More frequently with heavy use.

Please read the instruction menu for oiling area. a small plastic bottle singer oil can be purchased at joanne fabric shop or any department store carries fabric. if you can't find the menu booklet, a drop of oil should be enough on all moving mechanism. don't over do it. best way is move the pulley where the belt is attached. see the movement for all moving mechanism. then one drop oil should be enough. be sure clean out the dust in general are by using vaccum cleaner before lubricating the macjine. do not oil the belt, otherwise will lose friction and slip when sewning. hope this will help. bob
