When showing busy, most of the time the camera detected an error, but can't find out what is causing the error.
Try the normal "reset" method as follows:
Like a cold boot for a computer, the camera can be "rebooted"
follow the following steps:
Switch of the camera and remove the battery.
Remove the memory card and the lens. (if possible)
Recharge the battery. Wait till the indicator on the charger indicates the battery is fully charged.
Check all contacts, if they are clean and shiny. Contacts (from battery and memory card, only to be cleaned with a dry cloth or cotton swab(s).
Reinsert the battery, reinsert the memory card and re-attach the lens.
Then switch on the camera.
If this does not help, contact a certified Canon repair centre.
Hello and Welcome to Fixya! C:13:01 memory stick error message indicates a Self diagnostic
message. In C:13:01 the issue may be with the Internal Memory or with the
Memory Stick. To solve it try the following solutions
Format error with the Internal Memory which can be corrected by formatting the Internal Memory. If
it is issue with memory stick then turning the power off and on again
or taking out and inserting the "Memory Stick" several times may help in
resolving the issue. Error may be because of Unformatted
"Memory Stick" which can be resolved by formatting the Memory Stick in
the Camera If it not remove by formatting in the camera then connect it
to PC and tried to format it again but either FAT instead of
FAT32 which is the regular format and then reinserted the memory stick
and formatted it with the camara. Now it will be solved if it still
exist then it means Memory Stick is broken or not compatible which can be resolved by inserting a new compatible Memory stick
I hope this solution helps you Your token of appreciation in the form of four thumbs and testimonial will be esteemed. THANK YOU and Keep Visiting FixYa!
There is a white switch on the side of those sticks, and make sure it is not in write protected mode. If that doesn't work, I am sorry to say that stick might of went bad. Before giving up I would take to a professional film place and have them take a look to see if they can get them off w/o formatting.
Please try to take as many pictures from memory stick as you can then format memory stick through format option in setup. Hope this will resolve this blue access issue. You can use another memory stick like 1GB in this camera.
I had this same problem today. I called Honeywell and they said the flashing broken battery symbol may mean low batteries, or it may mean the battery type is incorrect. They recommend only non-rechargeable alkaline batteries. I was using rechargeable NiMH batteries. Even though they were fully charged, I had the flashing battery symbol and the thermostat relay would not work. I replaced with alkaline, the flashing battery indicator went out, the thermostat works again.
Odd that it worked for 3 months on the rechargeables after first install. I did notice the broken battery symbol came on after the first few days, but I checked the battery charges and they were good, so I disregarded the symbol until the thermostat stopped working today. Apparently there is something about the NiMH performance characteristic that the thermostat doesn't like.
the 101 is the folder number the pics are stored in-what model sony is it?-are you sure the camera is not recording to the internal memory which may be full-did you try to format memory card or reset the camera to factory defaults?-if none of these work may be bad camera-are you using a memory stick pro or pro duo card?
The charger may not be charging the batteries properly.
The batteries you are buying may not be good.
There may be a fault in the camera where the voltage is not being properly regulated.
Your best solution would be to take the camera to a camera service center to have everything properly tested to resolve the issue.
Check your battery connector or terminal & clean if necessary, check also your memory stick connectivity. It may be caused by no connectivity with the memory stick... ^_^
