Dell n5010 not chargering

Hi Anonymous,

Request you to try following the below steps which might help:
(1)Check if the AC Adaptor gets detected in BIOS (F2 at startup).
(2)Check on the status bar for any messages like "Plugged in charging", "Not connected", etc.
(3)Try using a known good AC Adaptor and check if that helps.

    Thanks and Regards.

Installed new battery and I don't get a click or anything it will not start

Try boosting it with your car battery and if that works then check the battery cables not being connected properly. Either loose or dirty or corroded. That will do it as well. Make sure new battery is charged as well. Sometimes a new battery does not work or hold its charge. In that case take it back where you bought it. If it won't boost could be a bad starter.

1999 ford explorer wont start. battery is new.wont start when jumped. it tries to turn over but barely. then only hear a click. when you turn the key the dash lights and radio lights flicker on an

Sounds like starter motor given your slow to no turnover, I assume your new battery has full charge, if not, check with meter, it may be a defective battery, or another issue with connections, did you clean cable connections when you put in new battery? I assume your engine was running properly before battery change and is not partially seized due to overheating or low oil.

Good luck,

Charging system not working

Have a mechanic check charging system and battery. Look for local "Mobile Mechanic" or buy new battery and take car to local parts store to check charging system (one where I live was willing to check for free). It's most likely your alternator has failed, on "easy side" could just be loose or corroded battery cables/connections (including connections at engine ground and starter (or main positive junction).

1998 Ford Explorer 5.0 battery won't charge,

Probably because your Battery is Bad... Try Charging and LOAD TESTING our battery and then if the battery tests good, Test your Alternator and see if it is charging properly.

Maybe when you installed the New Alternator, you missed a connection or have too many wires on one connector... You have have to take some pics to see what is going on.

07 montana sv6 charging fine when first started but after 10 to 15 minutes drops to 12.9 volts and will not maintane battery charge have checked for drain on system ok. new battery and alt.

You may have a loose connection on the starter. check all connections from the battery to the starter. Since your battery and alternator are new, take a few minutes and check these connections.

My ford 500's alternator went out. we replaced it and the battery is new. why won't it take a jump and start?

Hi Jenny,

I'm assuming the battery was new before the alternator went out.

If the car was running off the battery until both died, the battery may no longer be able to hold a charge or hopefully it it taking the lions share of the jump amperage to charge itself.

When you jump the car, try the headlights. If they are dim (or off) you have a bad jump connection. Try reseating the cables.

If they are bright, let the battery have some time to charge. (With the other vehicle running).

If after a few minutes, you get nothing from the starter, comment back. We'll look into other areas.

Best of luck

Wont charge!

1. The charger may be damaged To check if the charger is damaged, use another functioning charger. The charger cable has a tiny wire that easily breaks when used without proper care. If the phone still does not charge with a functioning charger, try next step. 2. The battery may be damaged Change the battery and try charging again. If the phone still does not charge with a functioning battery, try next step. 3. The battery terminals may not connect properly with the battery connectors Check the battery connector to see if the battery and the connector connects well. The phone will indicate charging only when there?s enough power supply from the battery. click here Solution Procedure: If problem is confirmed, adjust the battery connector using tweezers to reach the battery terminal and establish connection. Or try next step. 4. The charging pin may be damaged or does not connect well with the board's interface Check the charging pins to see if they are well connected to the mother board. Sometimes the charging pins wear out or loosens from its connection with the mother board. Solution Procedure: Check if the pin is bent. Straighten the pin using tweezers. Make sure the board interface is also clean otherwise, you will need to clean it by rubbing its surface using an eraser or brushing it with a board solution. Or replace with a new charging pin.
