SOURCE: How is ringer volume adjusted?

VOLUME
While talking, press the VOLUME buttons (left and right
arrows) to control the volume of the handset's earpiece.
There are four volume levels. Press the right arrow (+)
button to increase the volume level, and press the left
arrow (-) button to decrease. VOL 1 is the lowest level and
VOL 4 is the loudest.

SOURCE: nec dterm series i dnd on

To turn off DND press feature, dial 69 press feature again. Hopefully this works, I tested it on my phone and it worked. I have an Electra Elite.

I think the ringer is off on my NEC Dterm 80 phone. when a call comes in, I hear it ring at my bosses desk but not mine and my line is the main line. How do I turn the ringer back on. Thank you

Ringing is assigned in system programming, so if your phone doesn't ring you can't change that unless you have person on site who works on the system at that level. Some places use the night mode feature to make certain phones ring in day mode, and others to ring in night mode. Not very likely but sometimes the mode gets switched at places who don't realize they have another mode, suddenly only 2 phones ring instead of ...5. Feature,80,Feature, is the code to switch back and forth on a Pro II, an Elite, and an IPK system. This would be done at the reception phone. These phones also work on several other systems so don't know if this works for you. Or maybe you set Do Not Disturb, which would keep your ringer off.

During an incoming call try holding the up arrow on the volume key. That is the only way I know to increase or decrease the volume of the ring. Ringer Volume

I am assuming this is on a DTU 16D nec phone. On the right side of the phone is a volume up and down button. If someone calls you, you adjust this while the phone is ringing. If you adjust it after you answer it controls the voice volume (what you hear through the ear piece) if you adjust it while the handset is down but there is no one calling you it adjusts the display contrast on the phone.

Ringer volume

Adjusting the ringer will depend on the type NEC system you have. On the PRO II, Elite, and IPK just press the Speaker button and dial 601. The Phone should begin to ring and you can then adjust the volume with the up and down arrows.
