My HDMI2 port is not working.

After attempting to hook up a blu-ray player to my 37 in Vizio, the screen is blue and reads 'no signal'. HDMI1 port works fine and the blu-ray worked on that one but HDMI2 is not. How do i fix this issue? I've tried unplugging all devices and resetting the system but i'm still getting the same blank screen. I've even purchased a new HDMI cable and that didn't work either.

SOURCE: Vizio L32 32 in. HDTV LCD HDMI input not working

I recently had the same problem with my vizeo hdmi port # 1 going bad. Tried everything to fix and called vizeo. There solution for a master reset was turn off tv and unplug from the wall. then hold down the power button for 30 secs and let go. plug the tv back in and hold down the volume down and input select buttons down on side of the tv for 15 secs. release the buttons and turn the tv on after powering down all the components connectd to the tv. If this does not work they told me you need to have it sericed for a bad hdmi input. Hope this info helps anyone out there. It didn't work for me. Its a bummer cause the tv is well taken care of and only 18 months old. Best of luck to all others.

SOURCE: hdmi not working

Probably a bad port, but if you can get the TV near a PC or network connection, I highly recommend Vizio's customer service. They will be able to test for exactly what is wrong, and possibly even push out a software fix to repair it. If it cant be fixed with software,, they will get a certified tech out to handle it for you.

SOURCE: Our 42" Vizio will not display/play sounds when

Hello

One board takes in the HDMI as well as the other signals. Sometimes part of the board breaks and that is what sounds like has happend in your case. This is a fairly common problem and most people tend to just live with it. Others sell thier tv and a few find the number of thier board to see if one is available on ebay or shopjimmy. If you are comfortable with electronics the board is not hard to replace.

Im sorry your HDMI broke....

I hope this helps

Sony KDL-40NX711 HDMI PORTS STOPPED WORKING. EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS FINE. WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN?

Sounds like everything works. Your remote has an input menu. Have you cycled it around to the right component? i.e. HDMI1 or HDMI2, or DVD, even PC?
If not, try that.

Have a Panasonic TH-37PX60U tv - can I hook it up to a HD Satellite receiver - have a Bell hd but don't get any reception

Your plasma tv will display HD content when you connect an HD source (Blu Ray Disk, Sony PS3 / PS4 or Xbox 360, HD Cable Box, HD satellite, etc) via the TV's HDMI1, HDMI2, Component1, Component2 jacks or if you connect a UHF/VHF TV antenna (not cable box, etc.) to the "Ant" connector *and* you're close enough to a broadcaster with HD content to view.

Using any other input will produce only the lesser quality SD video signals. Review the manual - linked below - to help you connect the components you have.

My Vizio blu Ray player displays a pink screen. What to do? I am using an Hdmi cable and Time Warner HD box.

You hook up your Blue Ray player to your TV using the HDMI cable, not to your cable box.

Can't change from HDMI2 back to HDMI1

You need to change via tv selections option for tv, this should be possible by selecting the source for tv feed. This should give various options to select hdmi11, hdmi12, scart1 ect. If remote not working to change look on the tv itself for the control buttons, normally on the back to 1 side (rh from front) then pressing the correct button. If this does not work try turning power off to tv for a couple of minutes and then turning back on. Hope this helps.

Is the hitachi 46W500 blue ray compatible

It doesn't have an HDMI port, only a DVI port. You'd have to get an HDMI-to-DVI cable to get a true "digital" signal on the screen, but you'd still have to do your audio with the RCA jacks because DVI is video only whereas HDMI is audio and video.

As far as Blu-ray compatible, yes and no. It's a high-def TV, so if you hook a Blu-Ray player up to it you'll be in good shape but the built-in DVD player will not read or play Blu-Ray movies.

No connection/ no signal

Either the new BlueRay player is defective, the HDMI port on the player is defective, or the port on your set is defective.

Try connecting it with component RGB/AV cables, or S-Video/AV cables and see if everything works. If so, then you know that it is either the port on the BlueRay, or the port on the TV set.

To test the HDMI port on your TV, you will need another HDMI device to try.

Vizio vw42lf hdmi problem

The factory menu won't help you diagnose anything. If you are having issues on both HDMI ports, definitely check the cable and that the output works on the DVD player, try this on another TV if possible. If all else fails, call Vizio @ 1-877-MYVIZIO and they will send one of us techs out to replace the main A/V board, that should resolve your problem.
