SOURCE: I cannot change the message

It took me many hours to work it out!
- Menu.
- Settings.
- Phone settings.
- Phone profiles.
- Select (highlight) the one you want &.
- Select OPTIONS with the left soft key.
- Click Edit (1).
- Use the directional key (right) to highlight the New Messages.
- Scroll down to Message Alert.
- Left soft key OPTIONS & select edit (as above).
- Then click the directional key until you hit either Downloaded Music or sounds (depending on where you stored your sound file).
- Select your file.
- Left soft key & select SAVE.
- Then that's it, done!

Please email me with if it works for u or not. [email protected]

Cant change message tone on galaxy w

I assume you are trying to reset from Settings - Sound settings - Notification ringtone.
Instead try Messaging > Menu button > Settings > Scroll down > Select ringtone.

My ring tones have stopped working on my Blackbery

There may be a setting that got adjusted somehow. Go into your Options (the wrench icon) and select "Sounds and Ringtones." Under "Ring Tone," there is a volume setting -- make sure it is not set to "Silent." Underneath that, there is a setting called "Play sound" -- make sure that's set to "Always"or "Out of holster."

Do other sounds work on your BlackBerry (such as music files, video clips, or alerts)?

I can't figure out how to set a ringtone to my text messaging contact...can u help

To change the ring tone, press Home > Menu, then tap Settings. Tap Sound & display > Phone ringtone. Tap the ring tone you want to use, then tap OK. The ring tone briefly plays when selected.

Also, take a look at these Droid Eris tones: http://www.exectones.com/
