TV will not stay on HDM1 when turned off at night Keeps going to TV

Hello. The troubleshooting guide in the Appendix of the appliances' manual suggests the following:
1.) Make sure you have selected the proper input as TV and not PC.
2.) Since your system is HD 720P, the maximum resolution should be 1366 x 768 at 60 hertz.
3.) You may have to upgrade the driver of the graphics card
4.) Contact their Customer Service Center for immediate assistance
5.) Bring the set to an authorized repair center.

If you have flat screen t.v. go to the menu button and it should give options such as hdm1, hdm2, audio video hdm1, is cable you use the volume up and down button to select.

Main system control memory IC to this TV is fault. It should be replaced. It does not hold the LPM [Last Position Memory]. Contact any service technician.

How do I quit from HDM1

Press the TV/AV buttons on the remote control; to go back to normal channel reception. For some sets, the button will be marked as IS; means; input select. Pressing it repeatedly, will change the inputs to one another in series. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I hit the source button, and now my screen is blank with hdm1 in corner

No problem. Keep pushing the "source" button until it goes back to "tuner". You should see "component", "s-video",etc.. also. These are the various "sources" that can be plugged into your TV. To watch regualr TV, you need "tuner"...

Call Philips (Sylvania) with the model number--most of these sets it is a combination of two or more front control buttons to turn the auto demo mode off---might also be in the owner manual........
