I have had my dyson dc59 for about 3 months. Wheni try to turn it on by the trigger it won't start. I know it has a full charge so with my messing around with it i pressed the max button and it turned on. Worked ok until you press the max button then it won't start until you plug it in and press the max button again. So no max suction anymore. Is this a common issue?

Dyson will not start

If the power cells are operational and it will not start; then either the motor is dysfunctional or something is jammed in the intake module. A conduction test with instrumentation can indicate if the motor is the problem, the power cells are not fully charged, or you have a short circuit. Check Fuses.

I bought Dyson DC16 in 2008. Charged full but it only last for 1 minuet. Should I get a new charger? Is Dyson going to send me a new charger?

Your battery is losing voltage too quick. It has probably developed a 'memory'. Dyson claims that their handheld has the best suction out of all the handhelds out there. In order to maintain that claim the circuit board will shut off power to the motor when the voltage drops below adequate charge for full suction.
We need someone who can teach us to bypass that part of the circuit so it won't cut power to the motor or you need to get a new battery.
Shorting the battery like an Aircraft battery then re-charging won't fix it.

Fully charged, filters cleaned, vacuum keeps shutting down in and then starts again only to shut off again. the 6 minute time limit is not used up.
