Which fuse?? main fuse? output fuses?

if the main fuse has blown & the device simply won't power up, replacing it will merely result in another blown fuse - you need to take it to someone who can repair the units' power supply

output fuses blow when speaker wires are shorted, or speakers fail short - they're on the main circuit board, but seeing you're asking, i'd suggest you don't open the unit, but take it to someone who knows what they're doing

Stand cake mixer not working. No power when turn knob think water got inside. You think a fuse is out or something? Can it be fixed?

If your stand cake mixer is not working and you suspect that water may have entered the device, it's possible that a fuse or other electrical component may have been affected. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue:
  1. Unplug the mixer: As a safety precaution, unplug the mixer from the power source before attempting any troubleshooting or repairs.
  2. Let it dry: If water has indeed entered the mixer, allow it to dry thoroughly before attempting to use it again. Place the mixer in a warm and dry environment for a few days to ensure all moisture has evaporated. Do not attempt to use the mixer while it is still wet, as it can be dangerous.
  3. Check for visible damage: Once the mixer is dry, carefully inspect the external components for any visible signs of damage, such as burnt marks or loose wires. Pay close attention to the power cord and the area where it connects to the mixer.
  4. Check the fuse: Some mixers may have a fuse that protects against electrical issues. Refer to the user manual or consult the manufacturer's website to determine if your mixer has a fuse and its location. If the fuse is accessible, check to see if it has blown and replace it if necessary. Use the recommended fuse rating specified by the manufacturer.
  5. Seek professional help: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact the manufacturer's customer support or consult a qualified appliance technician. They will have the expertise and knowledge to diagnose and repair any internal electrical problems safely.

My soundcraft Efx8 is not powering on and it's not the plug or a fuse.

If your Soundcraft EFX8 mixer is not powering on and you have checked the plug and fuse, there may be a problem with the power supply or the mixer itself.
To troubleshoot the problem, you can try the following steps:
  1. Check the power supply. Make sure that the power supply is properly plugged in and functioning correctly. You can test the power supply by plugging it into a different outlet or by using a voltage tester to check for a power supply.
  2. Check the power cord. Make sure that the power cord is properly plugged into the mixer and the outlet. If the cord is damaged or frayed, it may be causing the mixer to not power on.
  3. Check the internal fuse. The EFX8 mixer has an internal fuse that may need to be replaced if it has blown. You can locate the fuse by removing the bottom panel of the mixer and looking for a small, cylindrical component with wires attached to it.
  4. Check the power switch. If the power switch is not functioning properly, it may be preventing the mixer from powering on. You can test the power switch by using a multimeter to check for continuity.
If you are unable to determine the cause of the problem using the above steps, it is recommended that you have the mixer inspected by a qualified technician. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.

On my peavey xr1220, when I turn on the power switch the board does not power up. What could be the problem?

Probably a fuse ? I have been servicing a lot of Peavey equipment lately and they have some poor circuit designs, a lot of internal un accessible fuses, I might be able to get more info ?

I want to record using Tascam with my peavey xr1220 mixer

What Tascam recorder are you using? If you are multitracking you will be unlikely to be able to use this mixer. Otherwise get a phono lead to fit the tape out and suitable connections for the Tascam recorder at the other end. This will allow you to record the main mix but unless you are a solo act or putting everything through the PA this will probably be pretty useless to you.

What size fuse is needed for a 600b mixer?

I am guessing you have an older Peavey mixer amp. I believe these mostly used 8 amp fuses although older earlier ones may have used different. It should say on the back at the fuse holder. You can get these at Radio Shack, at better hardware store in either auto electrical or electric sections or on line.

Effects button not working!!!!

Most likely the fuse for the effects circuit has blown, which happens sometimes on mixers with built in effects.

You'll have to open the mixer as the fuse will be inside the mixer on a circuit board (look around inside where the effects part of the mixer is) replace it with an identically rated working fuse and you should be done.
