Unfortunately these where designed to fail. I owned one, I could take it apart and clean everything and make it work again, eventually it stopped working completely tho

If you've gotten 4 years out of a Shark you've already beat the system. Give yourself a pat on the back, throw it in the nearest dumpster, then go to your local vac shop and purchase a quality USA made vacuum cleaner that is repairable and will likely last 20-30 years. Chinese vacs are designed to last one year and parts are not made for Sharks.
I have had 2 Shark Cordless Freestyle vacuums. The first one, when it was fully charged, the blue light would glow softly. The newest one has a flashing blue light that you can see from outer space. Light is supposed to keep flashing even when it is fully charged. Very annoyed that they changed this feature.
Some Shark vacuums have a built-in safety system that stops the machine if it begins to overheat. This usually happens because the filter needs washing or your machine is blocked. If your machine turns off on its own, unplug it and leave it for at least an hour to cool down. Remember to check the filter and look for blockages before re-starting.
