That could be many problems. what your telling me is that u see the charge light when u charge it but when you turn it on nothing happens? this could be a number of things. I would hook up a monitor and see if anything shows up on the monitor if the laptop boots. if something does show up then its your laptop display cables that are bad.
Try This
--> First turn your computer off by pressing and holding down the start button. Next unplug the computer and then remove the battery. Press and hold down the start button for about 60 seconds. Release the button and plug in the computer. Press the start button and the display should return. Replace the battery. If this does not work, try it again up to four times. No results usually indicates a bad mother board. Hope this helps.
black screen blur image showingcannot see subject to be photographed when camera power on,if press to take photo nothing shows, just black screen. it was fine one minute then nothing the next. battery is fully charged, memory card ok.
press f8 after boot up ,then select option enable vga, then when it start go to control panel, un-install the display drivers, restart and reinstall them.
Hi I just went through the same plight with the Shinco SDP-1750A I won from a local online auction. Sounds fine but no display what so ever. when I went to try and charge the connected battery to a standard 12v auto battery charger I noticed the display would spike with a quick flash as I connect the power. This is of course led me to believe the display wasn't a total goner. Charged it all the way and still zipola.
Seeing that I wasn't real excited about a DVD player that was nothing more than something like an old time radio show I decided to disect the monitor. VERY carefully and gingerly I removed all those tiny knat like screws around the screen frame (put them in a cup or such container so you don't lose what you can barely see). When I removed the dispay I carefully scrutinized all connections nothing looked out of the ordinary or visably at fault.
I then noticed that the main video ribbon interface type connector (wide see thru orange coloured flat cable which connects to bottom center of display was a bit crooked looking. I then unplugged and inspected it then plugged it back in and BINGO the picture was back bright and clear. I then made sure it was held on securely with some electrical tape and now it works a treat.
Hope this helps however this is only one of many things I suppose that can cause lack of display.
Quite possible that the machine is defaulting to external display only. Check your BIOS for this and try any function keys/switches that are available.
Are you using the charger that came with the unit? If you do not use the one that came with it, the unit may be reading this as though it were plugged into the computer. It will charge then, but will not operate unless unplugged - just as you are describing.
I turned on my computer and the monitor displayed this message on the screen "going to sleep no input received". I checked the power cord and unplugged it, nothing. No lights are flashing or beeping sounds. The CPU is working just fine, anyone have any idea what to do
I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not
see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else
worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback
as well.
I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told
the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito,
Ecuador)
Thanks for feedback. I have now upgraded software and it is working again :)
