Question moved to home Security - Safes.
You can't. You have to open the safe with the Emergency Key, the combination Dial or in your case with the Electronic Keypad.
STEP 2 - CHANGING THE USER CODE
1-Open the safe by following step 1.
2-Press the Green set up button (Located on the
back cover or the hinge side of the back door
cover), the LCD display will turn Blue.
3-Enter your new user code (1-8 digits).
4-Press the # key.
5-The LCD display will turn Blue and show IN.
6-The LCD display will briefly show your new code.
7-Your new user code is now set to open the safe
NOTE: It is highly recommended to leave the
safe door open and practice your new code
several times before closing the door.
Sorry. I am a loss about what that SCI means. However if you are asking about SCIentific display mode you can access it by pressing [SHIFT][MODE]. It will be listed as SCI. Press the number to its left. You will then be prompted to enter an integer number between 0 and 9 to specify the number of decimals digits. To enter nummbers in scientific notation, enter the decimal part (mantissa) then use the key marked x10^x followed by the exponent.
Well the Flashing "lock with 9" is Num Lock, the "blue lock with an A" is Caps Lock, and the "blue lock with a down arrow" is Scroll Lock. Hope that answers that question.
Now for the screen being blank usually means there is an issue with either your LCD display or an issue with the laptops video card. Plug in an external monitor and boot up the laptop if you still get a blank screen then there is an issue with the laptop's video card. If you can see your screen on the external monitor then there is an issue with the connection of the LCD displayon your laptop. You can try ifxing it your sleve by opening up the laptop and making sure the connection is firm or you can take it somewhere to get it fixed.
The 9 lock key means that your Number lock key is on. The blue light usually means that your blue tooth is on. Try connecting an external USB keyboard to see if it functions normally. If so then you need to have your keyboard replaced.
1) Do you have a VGA monitor that you can use for an external monitor? {VGA monitor is also referred to as a CRT monitor. Looks like a small TV}
The back of the laptop, or side, has a VGA port. The VGA monitor is plugged into it. {Laptop off} Then the VGA monitor is turned on, and allowed to 'come to life'.
Now turn on the laptop. Press the Fn key down on the keyboard, and hold it down. Now press the Monitor toggle over key. Since you did not state the HP laptop Model Name, and Model Number, I can only give you generic guidance on this.
The monitor toggle over key has a monitor screen symbol on it. It will be one of the F keys.
(It's an External Monitor toggle key. Press it one time and the display toggles over to an external monitor. Press it again, and both the laptop LCD screen, and the external monitor have a display on them. Press it once more, and the display goes back to the laptop's LCD screen )
If display shows up on the external monitor, you have a problem with the display of the laptop.
Primer: An LCD screen cannot produce enough light by itself. It needs an additional light source. A Backlight is used as an additional light source.
A Backlight is a CCFL. Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp {Bulb} Similar to the fluorescent lighting used in homes and businesses, but on a MUCH smaller scale.
{Average Backlight is 3 to 5 inches long, and half the diameter of a No.2 pencil. The Backlight is located on one edge of the LCD screen}
An Inverter is used to provide power for the LCD screen, and the Backlight.
90 percent of the time the problem is the Inverter.
Inverters are relatively cheap, and if I knew the Model Name, and Model Number of your HP laptop, I could give you a link to HP Support where you could download the Service Manual for free.
This way you would have a manual to show, and detail how to replace the Inverter, and I could guide you.
I could also give links for your perusal for Inverters.
There is one more thing however.
HP Pavilion DV2000, DV6000, and DV9000 series laptops, have a graphics chip overheating problem. The laptop comes on, the blue indicator LED lights light up, but the LCD screen is black.
This video explains why, shows a solution to fixing the problem, and details out a lot more than I am privileged to state here,
if it's a lcd projector, the polarizer on the blue lcd is fried due to excessive dust and heat. when the lcd is blacked out, the light reflects back through the polorizer, causing more heat. you'll have to send it to a sharp service center for repair. try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com
TRANSFER 800, 43211, SPKR. ADMIN MODE THEN USE UP / DOWN VOLUME. PROGAM NUMMBER WILL SHOW DATE / TIME THN A NUMBER LIKE 102 OR SO, WHEN YOU FIND IT TYP IT IN THE USE RIGHT SOFT KEY BELOW DISPLAY TOMOVE DOWN AN ENTER IN FORMAT SHOWM.
Did you try to start in safe mode? Turn on the laptop and start tapping the <F8> key. This will bring you to a menu with different options and select ‘Safe mode”. If that doesn’t work, try connecting an external monitor to the laptop. You may have to select the video output to display on the external monitor by holding down the blue <FN> key and pressing the blue CRT/LCD (located on one of the <F> keys, like F8,F9, etc..). If the laptop display works in safe mode, then you probably have a video software driver problem. If the display works on the external monitor in normal mode, then you probably have a problem with either your LCD panel. Hope this helps. By the way, the "9" led with the pad lock means your "Num Lock" is enabled. Your responses are intended to improve the level of service provided. Please rate your experience. Thank You.
