Have Just Purchased a D.I.Y.Chamberlain PowerLift Plus ,Can i Connect old Hard wire Operating Switch to this unit

To add the pulse button to your Robot Coupe R101, you will need to purchase the R101 Plus switch and front panel. The replacement is relatively simple and can be done by following these steps:

1. Turn off and unplug the Robot Coupe R101.
2. Remove the screws that hold the top cover in place and lift off the cover.
3. Locate the control panel on the front of the machine and remove the screws that hold it in place.
4. Carefully remove the control panel and disconnect the wires from the old switch.
5. Install the new R101 Plus switch onto the control panel and connect the wires.
6. Replace the control panel onto the front of the machine and secure it in place with the screws.
7. Replace the top cover and secure it in place with the screws.

Once the new switch and front panel are installed, you will have the pulse button on your Robot Coupe R101.

Humm not knowing more I can guess only that batteries get weaker in the cold.. (like your car battery that will not start in 0 degrees) change the 9 volt battery in both units and try.. Batteries go bad with time so if one is not used it will still detetoriate in strength

2) Usually a bad switch is replaced.
Buy another 3-way switch.
New switch will have 3 screws (plus green ground screw which is not discussed further).
On new switch, 1 screw will be different color from other two screws.
Same thing with old switch: 1 screw will be different color.
Take wire on different color screw and connect to different color screw on new switch.
Other two wires can connect to either screw.

Run wires from your switch and connect to terminals #1 and #2 on the motor unit. This will run the motor and it will automatically run in the opposite direction when you once again toggle your switch. You will need to adjust the up and down limits to stop the motor in the right spot for each direction. Before connecting the shade you should remove the cover from the motor unit and watch the operation of the limit switches.

If the LED is flashing rapidly when the button on the remote is not pressed you have interference from something. Check for old remotes stored in a drawer somewhere or some new electric item nearby. Start unplugging things until that rapid flashing stops.

If you have a unit that has dip switches simply change the code in the remote and on the motor head to a different set up. Both must match. If you have a rolling code(a unit with a learn button) you must erase the old codes out by holding down the colored learn button until the led light by it goes out. Then press and release the learn button and press the button on the remote. If this does not fix it find the two wires to the wall button on the motor head and unhook them. If that fixes it replace this wire and wall button. If not you will need a new logic board. Chamberlain.com is where you can get one. Thanks BB

This remote is compatible with your power lift. It should of come with a manual on how to program it as well. Each opener has a different sequence to program it so I can't just give a general answer. IF YOU HAVE A MULTI METER TEST FOR VOLTAGE AT THE CENTER PRONG OF THE LIGHT SOCKET (BE CAREFUL)
THE PLASTIC SOCKETS CAN GO BAD.
OR THE CIRCUIT BOARD MAY NOT SUPPLY POWER AS IT SHOULD - CIRCUIT BOARDS ARE A FAIRLY EXPENSIVE FIX.

It sounds like your logic board has bit the dust. Due to the age of that opener I would suggest a new up to date model.
