How to fix the remote control for humax 1000 freeview tv

Not OUR manual, we are Fixya dot com, we are nothing to do with Humax, we are not who you think we are.

First, fully disconnect all devices from mains power for 15 minutes, router, television and the Humax Box. Plug in the router first, then the Humax and finally the television. It will take about 15 minutes for them all to come back online after the reset and all recognise each other. This is called a 'Power Cycle' and reloads all the software and connections. Then try again.


If that doesn't fix it, you can fully Factory Reset the Humax unit, or you can just go into Settings and put the router settings back in SSID and Password.

Have you tried pointing the remote at a digital camera? This will show the infra-red signal coming from the remote. If the remote is OK, it may have been set to an alternative mode.

If it is the RM-L08 then you press the "Freeview/Play" button and on the screen in the top right hand corner is a "cog" press that and the menu should come up. I had a similar problem.

The main board to your TV & the power regulator board should be checked. Your set need a through check-up. Contact any service technician. Electro help

Try both the device control and the cable control. Each should have a menu for this screen problem.

There is no setup codes for humax with this remote control.

What are you trying to control with the remote? Try pressing the button on the remote that corresponds to the device you are trying to control first, and then try the remote again. I hope this helps, and good luck! Der Strom

I also have this same problem. Freezes after about 30 seconds to a minute after switching on. Think it is possibly related to the program listings sent to it. May be some error. How do I fix though???
