What do the square icons mean on my Alba 32" LCD TV info banner?
The info banner appears along the bottom of the screen when "info" button is pressed on the remote. It shows channel and now/next programmes. But what do the icons mean?

Press the A Button when the "Touch the Touch Screen to continue"
message appears.
When the main menu appears, use the Control Pad to to place the
cursor over the Settings Menu Panel at the bottom of the screen,
and press the A Button.
Use the Control Pad to place the cursor over the orange icon that
looks like crosshairs (the right-most icon), and press the A Button.
Use the stylus, and tap the red square that appears on the screen.
Do this each time the square moves.
Press the cc button on your remote control. You want cc to be off. Play around with the cc button to become comfortable. Press it over and over again. Observed that a different closed captioning option appears on your screen each time you press the cc button. Now press cc and when it says cc off do not press the button anymore.
The info banner of your HDTV is turned on. To remove or turn it off, just simply follow these steps.
1. Press Menu (on remote commander) 2. Press UP or DOWN arrow button to highlight the SETUP icon and press ENTER 3. Use Down arrow button to scroll down through the Info Banner. 4.Press Enter to select this feature. 5.Use arrow buttons to scroll through options on or off . 6.Select off and press enter button to disable the info banner. 7.Press menu to exit.
if the cam is set to a language you don't know better take note of the icons on the screen. here's how you do it:
1.press or touch home button (looks like a house icon)
2.touch settings icon (looks like a toolbox icon, its at the bottom right corner of the lcd screen)
3.go to clock/language setting page (to go there look for the up and down button on the screen, it's on the right side of the lcd. in the middle you'll see reference to the page it will show 1/2 press down to make it 2/2)
4.touch the setting that has an icon of the letter A inside a square (that's in the setting upper right portion of the screen)
5.select and touch language set (it should have the language icon, A inside a square)
6.select desired language setting

In the camera/shooting mode, press the bottom of the 4-way button and you will see the drive mode options appear on the LCD. The top icon (square) should be highlighted. Scroll with the up/down buttons to the 10 second or 2 second delay icon, and then press the Func/Set button in the middle. To return to normal, do the same thing but select the square icon.
Recalibrating the Touch Screen Remove all games from the Nintendo DS Lite. Turn the system on by pressing the POWER switch. Press the A Button when the "Touch the Touch Screen to continue" message appears. When the main menu appears, use the Control Pad to place the cursor over the Settings Menu Panel at the bottom of the screen, and press the A Button. Use the Control Pad to place the cursor over the orange icon that looks like crosshairs (the right-most icon), and press the A Button. Use the stylus, and tap the red square that appears on the screen. Do this each time the square moves. (Note : You must touch the red square precisely at each of the three positions, otherwise the test will continue to re-start.) When complete, four squares will appear, allowing users to test the touch screen sensitivity. (Testing is optional.) Tap the "Confirm" button in the lower-right corner. Wait for the the confirmation message to disappear, then tap "Quit," then "Yes" to exit. The unit will shut down automatically to save the settings.
