Kenmore coldspot model 106.71252101ice maker freezes ice but will not drop it does it need to be reset or what

Small leak in the tubing. remove ice-maker, cut tubing about half an inch back and reconnect ensuring the tubing is completely on the ice-maker.

If you can hear the auger motor turn, you may have a large chunk of ice in the hopper.

Ice maker will not dump ice, makes it but will not dump ice.

Sounds like the solenoid on the rear bottom of your unit is malfunctioning. What is the model number of your Coldspot?

Most likely ice maker is the problem and would need replacing. Water valve is letting to much water in but the amount of time solenoid stays open is controlled by the ice maker

other people say the fill tube above the ice maker could freeze with water. tehy say to defrost it for a day.

Hello. You will need to replace the icemaker. The swicth in the head is causing the arm to stay up and is not repairable. If you can get me the model number I can get you the part number.

At first blush it sounds like the water valve that supplies water to the ice maker is sticking or leaking and letting too much water in.

If you can, watch how much water fills into the ice maker tray (very boring stuff). If it overfills the icemaker tray, then the water valve or timer is malfunctioning and needs repair or replacement.

Same thing. Water dispenser okay but no water to ice...

I have a kenmore coldspot side by side model # 106.53662300.
The ice maker red light is blinking and it has made very little ice in the last 24 hours. What do you think the problem is?
