I cannot sign into iCloud on my iPad or Facebook

It could be your using your email password instead of your Apple password. They could be different. If you have a computer, go to iCloud.com on the internet and try to sign in the email address and password you use for your Apple ID. If it doesn't work, your password or Apple I'd is incorrect. You might try and select forgot password on the iCloud screen and correct it.

To recover your iCloud password, you can do the following steps on iPhone and iPad, which is the simplest way.
Step 1. Tap on your iPhone/iPad screen to open the Settings app. Then scroll down to tap on "iCloud".

Note: You are supposed to answer all the security questions which is relevant to your Apple ID, and then follow the directions shown on the screen to complete the process.
After answering all the question, you can finally reset the iCloud password and then log in as usual.

Apple has never added a private message feature unless you are talking about iMessage. if iMessage is the problem then just check setting for messages in settings and sign in and if you are signed in then check if it says waiting for activation. if it doesnt say that then a restore would help or make sure that iCloud is set up right. a restore would be last resort
