Cant get rid of https://s.yimg.com/rq/iv/inside.js, new clean install win 7 down load yahoo messenger and then it started

I would suggest to you to un-install the Yahoo Messenger and use the Yahoo Messenger for the web, no installation is required you can launch it from here, once you see the page on the screen click on start and proceed with you normal log-in <user name> and <password>.

Try downloading the full standalone setup installer for yahoo. It is available here:

When you use the online installer from yahoo, it tends to have problems during installation due to reasons like unstable internet connection. Using the standalone setup installer will be a workaround in this problem.

Hi there, might as well re-install Yahoo messenger, windows system recovery is not that perfect and the crash might have corrupted the files.. This is the best advice i can give.

Uninstall completely your yahoo messenger. after uninstall clean your registry for errors
or
1. simply Go to Start > Run and type “regedit” on the box

1. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Yahoo
2. Right click the Yahoo folder and DELETE Yahoo Folder
3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Yahoo
4. Right click the Yahoo folder and DELETE Yahoo Folder

2. Reinstall the Yahoo Messenger.

yahoo!7 messenger is unable to download files needed for installation. Please

check firewall settings and retry installation.
I found the answer its so simple, The problem has nothing to do with firewalls.

Yahoo instant messenger (yim) needs internet explorer 7 or above version to

enable yim to operate properly with the current yim versions. If you have an

earlier version of IE (I was using IE 6 coz I always use firefox and did not

have windows update enabled coz I did not want my windows operating system to be

revealed as it was copied and theredore not legit) So I disabled windows update

and kept using firefox, but even if you never use internet explorer, yim still

needs internet explorer 7 to operate without these errors shown above. I tried

to fix it for weeks thinking it was fiewall or such, but it just needed IE 7 so

I downloaded it here:

and even tho it says its for a windows server it still worked on my windows

XP pro 64bit and now yim is working properly, allowing multiple copies of

contacts etc, no problems at all now. I also downloaded firefox version 35,

which helps yim too coz its yahoo preferred.

Try rebooting your computer then do not open any programs except going to
http://messenger.yahoo.com/ and downloading new installer and save it to your desktop. Now double click it and run the installer.

If the above does not work or if you are using Windows Vista try using this link for the full installer (does not rely on yahoo servers). These full installers come directly from a yahoo server and by pass the web installer that most use. If on Windows Vista right click the full installer and choose install as administrator. You might have to temporarily disable the User Account Control (UAC). You can easily turn it back on. On the Control Panel (Category View) choose User Accounts and Family Safety, next choose User Accounts, and then click Turn User Account Control on or off.
