I have a Kodak dx7590. I need to format my sd card. Will this delete what I have stored on my internal memory?

Nothing. I don't want to risk losing my internal memory video.

SOURCE: I have a Kodak C330.

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work properly.

Why is my camera going round and round in circle when trying to format my memory card?

I'm suspecting that you are trying to use a new 4GB or larger SDHC card with your older model camera. Please note that your model camera can only use 2GB or less standard SD cards (and NOT SDHC). 2GB SD cards are inexpensive, and still available on Amazon.com if your local store no longer carries them.

To format a memory card, press the MENU button, use cursor-up/down to select Settings, press the OK button, use cursor-up/down to select "Format," and press OK.

The DX7590 works with MMC and SD cards. It does not work with SDHC cards. If you mean an 8GB card, then that's an SDHC card and will not work with the DX7590. The camera is limited to cards 2GB and smaller.

The 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller with the DX7590.

I have an 8G memory card that I cannot get formatted for a kodak easyshare DX7590 from a cannon format. What do I do? I've put it in the camera and told it to format it but it won't.

Get an SD card.

The DX7590 works with SD (and MMC) cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card and thus will not work. You'll have to stay with cards 2GB and smaller.

Camera will not read memory card

Your camera is only supporting SD/MMC Cards (up to 2 GB)

The card that you currently have might be faulty. Please try another card.
You might also need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

Camera won't permit review of pictures

Hello Charlie, Hook your camera directly to your PC with the USB cable, The computer should see Kodak Easyshare, Double click on it to open and check in the folder shown for your photos and down load or delete them as you wish. As far as the SD card error it sounds like possible camera firmware problem,go to Kodak website under support for Dx7590 for the firmware and instructions.

Cards not working with camera

If you used the SD/MMC memory card in another brand of camera or device, you may need to format the card in your new EasyShare digital camera. (You may have noticed a "Memory Card Needs Formatting" message when you inserted the card.) CAUTION: Formatting deletes all pictures and videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card. To format the SD/MMC memory card or the internal memory of the camera: Transfer images to the computer before formatting the memory card. Press the camera Menu button. Highlight SETUP MENU, and then press the OK button. Highlight FORMAT, and then press the OK button. Highlight an option - MEMORY CARD (deletes everything on the card), CANCEL (exits without formatting), or INTERNAL MEMORY (deletes everything in internal memory). Press the OK button. Highlight Continue, and then press the OK button. Wait until formatting is finished before removing the card. When formatting is complete, the SETUP MENU is displayed. Press the Menu button to exit the menu.
