Hello Stephanie Wells,
Since it is the "new place" that changed...
I would FIRST look to the COLD WATER supply
to make sure cold water INDEED comes out of the
MACHINE END of the hose.
Then move on to the cold water valve...
>> Take PICTURES before disassembly.
Not terribly expensive... Pretty easy to change.
(you may get your NEW PART as differently
connected than your old (PRESS FIT couplings
are replacing the OLD threaded type...
ALERT: PRESS collar in to release tubing)

SOURCE: Hot water on cold water wash or rinse
hmmm..now that's really interesting..that's a function of the control board..methinks you have an error in the panel and control center.
SOURCE: Hot water rinse when cold rinse is selected
I am having the same problem - and this is going to cost us a fortune!! How do I switch the wires? We are not sure if it is filling with cold..but when the wash cycle is finished - the clothes come out giving off steam!!!
SOURCE: Need to set the washing machine for hot cycle, cold rinse
In owner's manual, go to Machine Information/Care and Cleaning/Cleaning the Inside of Your Ecosmart for a total hot water wash fill:
Press POWER button
Press and hold Favorite button for a few seconds until you hear two quick beeps.
Select Permanent Press cycle.
Select HOT wash. (Yes, you can do this in this mode.)
Press Favorite again to store the selections.
It really works!

Good Morning,
Sounds like your cold water valve is not opening. If you are handy with a Multimeter check the selector switch that you use to set your cold water for good continuity when you activate it. You should have a good steady reading on the meter. If the meter is fluctuating or has no reading at all the switch is bad. If the switch checks out good, check to see if there is voltage to the cold water valve terminals when the machine is calling for cold water. If there is no voltage, you will have to locate the relay or source that supplies this voltage and replace it. If there is voltage the valve is faulty and needs to be replaced.
I hope I helped you today.
SOURCE: Cold wash/rinse selected, but only hot water is used
I have a Sears front load washer and I also noticed that on a cold wash/cold rinse cycle the machine was drawing hot water.
Laundry detergents require water to be at a certain temperature to aid in disolve. The machine adds sufficient hot water, regardless of the cycle, until that temp is reached. If I was to use a cold water detergent the machine, because it has no way of knowing which detergent I'm using, will still add hot water until that minimum temp is released. I don't know if there are machines available which include detergent type as an option?
The F20 error is a no water detected entering machine error and yes it is related to the hot water not being hooked up.
Newer washers sense and control the incoming water temperature. If you select cold wash and cold rinse you may think that it will not ask for hot water so you don't need it hooked up but you can't do that on this washer.
Even on a cold wash the temperature sensor will read the temperature of the incoming water. If your cold water is 60 degrees then the control will sense this and it may cycle the hot water on to bring the temperature up to 70 degrees.
