Boot from Windows Install DVD, when you get to Format, do a FULL NTFS format, delete the Old Windows Directory and install it all again.. that will return to the "Factory" condition. Then when at desktop first time, install antivirus, and do all Windows updates, before you "Surf: the 'net.

If you have only used Windows and associated programs, (Not loaded Linux or other OS types)...
Just start your computer and hold your finger near the [F4] button -
as soon as the Samsung screen pops up click that button.
The Recovery screen will show, choose Restore, then Complete Restore
the program completely deletes the C; Drive and reloads Windows and the other programs - same as it was the very first time it was set up.
Note. If it was set up as C: and D: drives (one of the initial choices which you do not get during Restore) - this Restoration DOES NOT TOUCH or HARM any of the Files/Folders on the D: Drive...
So, If you're Restoring to sell - Go to My Computer Right Click the D: Drive and Choose FORMAT - you'll get a warning about files being deleted/losing all data - but that's what you want - go ahead and click OK.
IF you're doing it because Windows crashed and burned - It's OK; all the stuff will still be there on the D: Drive...
Cheers.

To restore your Samsung laptop to factory settings read the information from this link.
SOURCE: i am unable to connect
Not being able to connect to the Internet depending on what method you are using for your internet connection if wireless or cable or DSL I would reboot everything unplug it all modem routers if any and modem or DSL box and the computer as well. What happens sometimes when Windows sleeps it closes off the Internet connection as well and you may have to log back in. Make sure that you are powered off and then connect everything back up again and let it do its thing and try to access the Internet again.
If it will not access the internet make sure that you do not have laptop set to wireless if you are using a cable or DSL R-45 cable wiring. I'm assuming wireless for the laptop so make sure that the switch if any is switched to wireless as well.
If all else fails contact your IP service and have a technician come out and take a peak at it. Often times it has been my IP on their end that does not work and they have to reset the router or modem to get the DNS to work again. Often times it is just easier to call them and have someone come out and fix it should be free for you to have this done. Thanks for using FixYa! I hope this assisted you. John

Hi,
Well, you can order Recovery Disc from Samsung which can be used to restore the laptop to factory settings.
If you wanted, you can install an operating system on your own. You need to either buy a copy of Windows or download it. If you download a copy of Windows you need to burn it to a CD or USB. Then boot the laptop up into the USB or CD and it will install Windows. It will reset the computer to new but not exactly like it was when you purchased it. Why? Well, Samsung and other companies preload a lot of junk software into the laptops with the operating system. This is how the make extra money. That is one reason why I don't really use the factory recovery disk.
Let me know if you have any questions.
