Not if this is a home router. Some expensive enterprise routers can be managed with scripts that will allow specialized commands.

Heating unit is delayed when you turn the heater on. It takes atleast 15 minutes or more before it comes on. what could be the problem.

When you say "unit is delayed" are you saying the fan does not come on when you switch the unit on, or that the air blowing takes 15 mins to get hot?
tip

Routers

Before contacting the manufacture of the router. Always press and hold the reset button located on the back of the router for 10-15 seconds and them turn the device off after the lights have came back on the router. When turning the device off, please leave it off for 15 seconds and also turn off the modem for 15 seconds. The modem should be turned on first and let it run for 2 minutes before the router. After the modem is on for about 2 minutes, turn on the router and wait up to 1 minute and reconnect to it. Should be online.

Trying to set switch for 5 minutes , and i only get 30 seconds or 15 minutes

Which brand and model number specifically?
Leviton: 1-800-824-3005
Leviton Decora manual says:
"PR180 operates by detecting motion (such as body heat) within its field-of-view (area of coverage) and automatically switches lights ON. When motion is no longer detected, lights remain ON for a selected time and automatically switch OFF.
Adjustable light and time-delay controls are located on the front of the device."

The manual is not specific about set times.

In any case, the device has off-delay timing circuit, so once infrared heat is no longer sensed, the delay period begins, and once the delay period expires, the device is switched off.
Delay timing circuits are common for many home and industrial applications.
As a general rule, delay timers can be set for different time durations, however the Amazon page that sells PR180 product does not specify available time settings either.

Legrand RW3U occupancy sensor spec sheet says adjustable time delay 15 seconds 5 minutes, 15 minutes and 30 minutes
http://www.amazon.com/Legrand-RW3U603I-Occupancy-Vacancy-Decorator/dp/B005FMLL5G

Delay switches
Here is manual delay-time switch Tork SS20 SS13 where you can 'fine-tune' the delay circuit, but my experience is that exact 5 minutes is not easily set:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Paragon-ET-series-243.jpg
GE 15318 switch offers 5 minute, but there is no guarantee that you can get 5 minutes exactly:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/GE-15318-countdown-timer.jpg

My conclusion is that there are very limited delay-time choices with this model number, or device is defective and suggest to call Leviton.

If you go to www.speedtest.net you can check your speeds before troubleshooting. What you will want to do while the router is hooked up Run a your first speedtest. You will want to right down the ping/download/upload.After unplug router and hook the modem directly to your computer and see if you see if speeds increase,If so it is an issue with the router. Unplug the power from your home modem and your router wait 15 seconds and plug equipment back in.Run 2nd speed test Ping-download-upload.If your speed seems to be faster Great!! However if you want to ensure faster speeds delete your cookies and cache (internet options) you can access this by Control Panel click on delete. Also ensure that there isnt any programs running that use the internet. If you are still having issues go to your Command Prompt. If you are using windows xp go to Start/Run and Type CMD it will bring up your Command Prompt For Windows Vista Or 7 go to Start all programs/accessories and Right click on Command Prompt and hit run as administrator. After hit continue.
Use these commands.
1rst command:netsh int ip reset reset.log
2nd command-netsh int ip delete arpcache
3rd command- netsh winsock reset
4th command- ipconfig /flushdns then restart your computer.
If you are still having speed issues, Turn off Firewalls/Antivirus Run another speed test.Last if you are still having the speed issues, Restart your computer/run in safe mode F8 try one last speed test if problem persist run Antivirus. I hope this helps you out

Wrt54g - FTP flashed it after a failed upload attempt

You may try refalshing the firmware of the router again. Please do a hard reset on your router. To do that, press and hold the reset button of the router for about a 20 seconds. Keep holding the reset button and then unplug power from the router without releasing the reset button. Wait for about 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, power on the router and wait for about 15 seconds more then release the reset. Turn off the router and wait for a minute before turning it on. Observe if the power light is still blinking or not.

Then, check the IP address that the computer is obtaining. To do that, click on START>RUN then type CMD and then click OK. Once you're in the command prompt, type ipconfig/all then press ENTER. Look for the IP address it will give you.

If the computer does not obtain a valid IP address from the router, then you may need to assign a static IP address to the computer. To assign a static IP address to your computer: CONTROL PANEL>NETWORK CONNECTIONS. Right click on LOCAL AREA CONNECTIONS then click on PROPERTIES. Then look for Internet Protocol TCP/IP. Select it then click properties and then set it to Use the Following IP address. IP address will be set to 192.168.1.2. Subnet Mask will be set to 255.255.255.0. You may leave the default gateway and DNS servers blank. Click ok all the way out.

Open the command prompt again and then ping your router. Do the command, ping 192.168.1.1 then press ENTER. Check if you will be able to receive replies or not.

If you received 4 replies from the ping then you may upgrade the firmware of the router. If not then the router is busted.

I believe, Linksys offers replacement for their in-warranty devices. You may verify from their customer service at 800 546 5797. They are using a certain tool which will detect the warranty of your router through its Serial number.

Hope this helps!
