Because we live in a free country the government says garage door openers manufactured after 1993 have to have an inferred safety reversal system (UL325).
You need to adjust the receiving sensor until you have a steady green light, then the garage door opener will function properly again.

SOURCE: Garage door won't shut, light blinks 10 times.

If the light blinks 10 times it is a sensor problem. Nothing else will cause this. Tweak the sensor a bit and check it out.

SOURCE: Door won't close, blinks 10 times, sensor light yellow

Anytime the main light flashes 10 times and the door reverses to the open position it is a door sensor problem or the wiring to them. Nothing else causes this symptom.

That code is RPM sensor or motor overload. When the RPM sensor goes bad the motor will still run for a short time. If the motor has been run several cycles it will turn off on the thermal overload and won't reset for about 15 minutes. The resetting is automatic. Is your door stuck in the open position?

The only thing that will cause the main light to flash 10 times and the door to reverse to the open position is a sensor problem. Make sure the light on each sensor is on and not flickering ever so slightly. Make sure they are not moving when the door starts to close. Lights on sensors should not blink. One light should stay on constantly and the other sensors light should go off when you block the sensors.

Chamberlain 102-1499A Opens w/ remote. Will not close w/remote.

If when you try to close the door the main light flashes 10 times and the door reverses to the open position you have a door sensor problem. Make sure they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have a bad sensor.

When you push either the remote or the switch at the door, the garage door will go down almost to the bottom and then come back up and the light will blink several times. This does not happen all the time....

Your safety reversing sensors must be connected and aligned correctly before the garage door opener will close. An obstruction in the path of the sensor will also cause your door to not close.
This sensor is an electronic beam, which is sent between two sending and receiving “eyes”. These eyes face each other and are located just inside your garage door. They may need to be adjusted so the beam from the sending eye is properly detected by the receiving eye. Once the receiving eye “sees” the beam from the sending eye, a green indicator light will glow on the top of the eye.

I have the 1/2 horsepower opener with the green (Sears)

Sometimes the sensors will be aligned closely enough that the logic board will turn on the receiving units light but it will act like yours. If you look real close at the light you will see that it is flickering ever so lightly. Tweak the sensor so the light is on steady.

Craftsman GDO reverses itself when the door reaches the eyes

The only thing that will cause the main light to blink 10 times is a sensor problem. Sometimes the sensors will be misaligned just enough to turn the light on but will not work properly. If you look really close (on your knees) you can see the receiving sensor blinking ever so slightly. Tweak the sensors until the light glows constant.

Door will not close

If it is a door sensor problem the main light will flash 10 times when the door reverses. Make sure the small light on each sensor is lit. One sensor is the sending unit and the light should be on all the time. The other is the receiving unit and the light is only lit when they are pointed at one another. If the main light doesn't flash it is another problem. Post back.

Won't open or close tries to run but stops

The fault code (4 blinks) is informing you of an issue with the infrared sensor that detects an obstruction in the path of the door.

It is ether misaligned or an issue with the wires leading to it or its faulty.

If the red beam is present at the sending unit (affixed to the doors frame), then it should be aimed at the receiving unit (affixed to the opposite frame) If the beam is received then there should be a green indicator light illuminated.

Good luck
