I am using cardfive to print to a Zebra P520i. It has been working swell, but suddenly it displays a SAVE screen when you click the print option and will not print the card. If I log into another account on the same PC it prints the card without issue.

Within cardfive, check your printer setup settings before going to the print screen. You have to define the output device first, and separately. If this doesn't work, close cardfive, go to the Windows Devices & Printers screen (within Control Panel) and set your card printer to be your default output device (right-click the printer, "Set as Default ..."). Then open cardfive and see if it now directs to print, rather than presenting the "Save" option.

If it says save, I'd suggest the printer has been set to PDF or some such, or the destination has been set to FILE:

Testimonial: "It is set to file, but that is what it is set to when a co-worker signs in on my PC and it prints correctly. As you noted, when I take it off the file designation, the SAVE screen does go away...it just won't print."

On your cardfive configuration for the printer, there might be 2 printer drivers in the drop-down list, you might have the wrong one selected.

I need drivers Eltron Zebra P310CM for Windows 7

Hi I solve this problem with a program called CardFive this program provides several drivers inside when you install it in Windows 7. I install CardFive 6.3. Note. this program don´t install a printer driver in Devices and Printers in Windows 7, only provides you a interface to print cards with your Eltron p310 and you can choose other printer models discontinued. My printer interface is parallel and works in Windows 7 With CardFive 6.3 pro.

How can I get my Zebra P330i to print from edge to edge. It leaves a white edge on the right and top. I am using Cardfive Lite xl software.

Try to ajust the front plate with the 2 screws (put a car unter the printhead.)
tie the screws. take the card.
send the command !SA from the driver to recalibrate the ribbon.

My zm400 keeps reverting back to direct thermal

did it stay on direct thermal if you not doing any print job ?
then i assume you the problem is when you printing .In ZEBRA DESIGNER, there's a printing preference that can be set up... i think u selected direct thermal when you print with zebra designer, that's why whenever u start printing, it show RIBBON IN again.
the solution is, Just changed the printing method from zebra designer.

if you aren't using zebra designer, then the problem at your driver. Open Printer & Faxes, then right click your Printer and klik on Printing Preferenced. There u can set up the printing method to Thermal Transfer.

The thing is....... changing the Setting from LCD panel won't change the setting on the driver.

P520i vista drivers

Did you try installing the XP drivers in Vista using the Vista compatibility mode?

Another option to use XP drivers in Vista involves changing the group policies.

Hi There,

First of all, for Windows Vista, you need to be using the very latest driver (V6.02).
You can download this by following the link below;

http://www.magicardonline.net

Just enter your printer's serial number in the QuickSearch box.

Please Note: - With CardFive software, you need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the printer list, then select the printer driver with the Windows logo next to it called 'Magicard Printer Series'.

If you still can't print from the CardFive software, can you print the Windows test page?
