Jul 25, 2014 - Your freezer is cold but refrigerator is warm? This can be a very big problem. Check Out the top 4 most common problems and their solutions ...
If the fridge is failing to keep the freezer as cold as it was, it is only a matter of time (hours or maybe a day) before it stops cooling completely.
If you smell sulfur or rotten eggs, and cooling inside is diminished, it is very likely that the refrigerant has escaped due to line chafing, rupture or compressor failure. This is not the type of failure your want. Many times, this repair costs many hundreds of dollars to repair and isn't worth the expense. Other times, a line can be repaired after cleaning & evacuation. A service port is installed to allow a new refrigerant charge to be introduced to the fridge.
The only way to know for sure is to have it checked by a licensed refrigeration mechanic or fridge repair technician.
I have the same problem. I bought an lg French door fridge 6 weeks ago. The ice cubes still taste like plastic. I continually empty the ice bin hoping that the next batch of ice will taste normal. Nope.
There is nothing in my freezer with freezer burn. My previous fridge had an ice maker and there was no problem whatsoever. I had copper tubing. When they delivered this fridge which is 3" wider they said I needed to buy a different supply line because the copper didn't allow it to come out far enough from the wall.
the smell is bacteria caused by the buildup of moss from condensation.switch off unit do a complete defrost,( leave the doors open).wipe out the interior with chlorine bleach(the smell will go in about an hour or so)syringe the drain with bleach and then dry thoroughly.after drying switch on and leave to settle for 24 hours to regain operating temp(fridge +2/5c...freezer -18c)then refill with food, covering any open dishes.try to fill all drawers in freezer with food and any spare space fill with screwed up newspaper.
use a toothbrush to get into door seals/corners DO NOT USE HEAT/SHARP OBJECTS TO DEFROST.use towels in bottom to soak up all the water....
little green men from the planet DRAIN PIPE , awful smelly these people.. have lost the ability to flush out drainpipe with clorine beach (only drainpipe NOT INTERIOR OF UNIT)
Sometimes called streptococus..............
Yes the motor should be running and need to be replace to keep the food from spoiling, this will correct the problem however the buning smell is unknown
Mix 1/3 cup of bleach and 2/3 cup of water , and pour down drain tube (rear bottom in freezer section . Too much bleach and the smell of bleach would be circulated by the fan to the room , so be sure to add water .
