Open the door of both sides (driver and passenger) and look for the panel for the fuses. Remove the panel and you will see the fuse box. The information of the fuses is on the panel.

SOURCE: 2001Acura RL 3.5 SRS problems

As you already know The Supplemental Restraint System (or SRS) is the system that controls your airbags. Unfortunately, there are MANY things that trigger this annoying light, and to making it go away can cause plenty of headaches.

Things that can cause the SRS light to turn on include:

  • Letting battery drain too low
  • Bad Sensor
  • Blown fuse
  • Unplugging the car’s battery
  • Removing the gauge cluster/installing aftermarket gauges
  • G-Force sensors that are under each of the front fenders ($250.00 each)
  • Bad clock spring (located inside your steering wheel)
  • Bad ECU
  • Bad reverse light switch on transmission
  • Car was in an accident (which is not the problem in your case)
  • Airbag defective/unplugged
  • To fix this problem, some have gone to the dealership to have the SRS computer reset. Unfortunately, this costs somewhere around $70.00..... Another option is to invest in a OBD2 Code Reader US $32.94+ on ebay most of the time the cause of this light is something simple like changing out the battery. but that could have set the code off if you reset the computer this will shut the light off and the system will be fine and save yourself a couple of grand
The Car Scanner Trouble Code Reader is for real-time automotive diagnosis based on the OBD2 protocol. By simply plugging it into your vehicles diagnostic socket, you will be able to Read any trouble codes related to the "Check Engine Light" and identify the code by consulting the manual. It will also Erase or Reset the Check Engine light. this should tell you wich sensors are out or giving a faulty signal if you do not wish to invest in an obd2 code reader call you local autozone or advance auto parts and ask if they do free obd2 readings most do and they sell the parts you are most likely going to need I hope this helps ...............good luck

SOURCE: Radio code for 2002 Acura RL

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio and the nav. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

You have a module that's going bad or is bad. Someone had either wrecked the car previously and didn't replace all damages modules. You can have a shop put on computer to tell you exactly which one needs replaced. There is one on the front of the vehicle one under drivers seat and one in with the seat belts those ate just sensors the actual modules are the site bags themselves

How do i remove the radion on a 200 acura rl

You cann't remove only radio you have to remove whole panel which contains radio.

There are two possible scenarios for you car radio panel

1. Your car can have Navigator, Climate Controller and Radio.

2. Your car can have Climate Controller and Radio.

You have to open whole panel.

This Panel contains some of SRS components, so have to be very careful while removing it!

SRS light came on shortly after new battery

Here's a quick check list for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles

Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)

Seat covers

Weight on passenger seat
(Example: grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)

I recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.

I DO NOT recommend disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s).

Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce the problem.

2000 Acura RL and 2000 Acura Integra GS ABS light on

The SRS computer needs to be reset, if you dont have a repair manual i would first suggest finding one for each car. The basic principal is that you jumper the diagnostic plug (under the glove box in the RL). The next step I believe is that you must depress the TCS button, then while holding it down you turn the key to on, continue to hold the TCS button for 15 sec and then let off. The check engine light should then blink really quick a few times and that means its reset. Im reciting this from memory so dont quote me on it. I have done it before for the RL but not the integra, id really suggest finding a repair manual though.
