The wt741 I have got was showing F05 fault. I cleaned out the obstruction in the pump and restarted the machine. The machine came started to cycle but then stopped with the display going blank. I unplugged the machine and left it overnight. I restarted it and the display is showing and I can select different programmes but it won`t start help!

Had the same problem a couple of times with my Hotpoint Aquarius. Problem was due to water not being able to drain due to a blockage (sweet wrappers, hair, money and computer games !!". Open the back access panel and loosen the big jubilee clip holding on the rubber drain. Clear any blockage and put unit back together. (All with POWER OFF)

Wd860 showing error F-05. What does this mean?

An F-05 error message means that the pressure switch is jammed on empty or a problem with pump.

The fault is associated with drain out (pump blocked or restricted in some way).

Small panel at rear of machine reveals the pump, pull of the two pipes (Plastic clips hard to get off, slide them sideways), remove wire and unclip pump from base of machine by lifting locking tab and sliding to the left, pump can then easily be cleaned.

Hotpoint ultima washing machine showing fault code f-05 and door will not open.

Error code F05 indicates pressure switch jammed on full.
Remove lower rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose on bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.

Make sure there is no water in drum before you start.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

Hi I have a hotpoint washing machine model wt761 and it has stopped working, it will not drain. The display is showing an error code F-05. Can you help me please.

You have a blockage not allowing the drum to empty.
Check for blockages via the pump filter and the hoses
F05 means blocked pressure switch
If it still won't work come back to me

Hotpoint ultima washing machine is showing a fault

F 05 normally means there is a blockage or a fault with the pressure sensor. The common place for blockage is in the black pipe from the drum to the pump as it has a filter in here and clogs up. remove the pipe and clean the filter out and remove gunk from the pressure sensor on the side of the pipe as well. If that does not fix things the pressure switch could be faulty itself
