Take a moment and call your ISP. Ask for a service so they can go and check the installation.

Whenever you're asking for technical help with an electronic device, please try to give device details. e.g. model and version numbers, at minimum. Belkin model numbers typically start with F#D (like F5D, F7D, F9D, et cetera)...

You should check Belkin's web site for firmware update availability to your router. I see at least 2 different models on their website that they call "Basic Wireless Router" and manufacturer firmware is generally not interchangeable between models.

If a newer firmware is available for your router, consult
http://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?rnId=497 for instructions on how to upgrade the firmware. Your profile doesn't tell us where in the world you are, and you didn't mention that info, so there's no way for anyone that replies to localize the links for you (that's why I posted a link to Belkin's USA support site).

Keep crashing, slow loading, window keep koading

Slow web pages could be the result of dns server timeouts. Your router is probably getting the dns servers from your Internet provider. (Logging on to the router should tell you the routers dns server IP address).
The PC's could be getting their dns server IP address either from your Server or the 2700HGV router. Disconnecting your server from the network and connecting a PC to the router should test this premise.
Take your server out of equation and see if Internet access and webpages speeds up. later test your speed here ScanmySpeed.com

The globe light is blinking. We can connect to Belkin but page not found comes up. The message that comes up says IP address does not match. We have 3 laptops, and none of them are allowing us to have...

  • Connect your computer directly to your cable or DSL modem. If you see a log-in screen for your Internet Service Provider, make a note of the user name and password.

  • Unplug your router and your cable or DSL modem.
  • Plug your modem to your Belkin router's "WAN" port. Connect your computer to one of your Belkin router's numbered ports.
  • Turn on in your modem and wait 10 seconds. Plug in your router and restart your computer.
  • Select "Start," then "Control Panel" and then "Network Connections." Right-click "Local Area Connection" to bring up your network connection properties.
  • Click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)," then "Obtain an IP Address Automatically" and then "Obtain DNS Server Addresses Automatically."
  • Open your web browser. If you are prompted for a user name and password, enter the information you recorded in Step 1

On my phone it keeps coming up with dns unavailble. why is this happening and how can i fix it please get back to me.

When your phone connects to the Internet, a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server on the Internet supplies an IP-address for your phone, and it also supplies the IP-address of a DNS (Domain Name Service) server.

Connect to the DNS-server to translate a name, e.g., 'www.ibm.com' to an IP-address.

So, if your Internet connection is not working, your phone cannot "talk" to the DNS-server, and your phone reports "unavailable".

So, check your Internet settings, to confirm that you have a connection.

Laptop keeps disconnecting then connecting every so often.

Has the computer ever stayed on long enough to connect to the internet?

Is there a wired computer working when attached to the router?

If not, if possible please try to connect the laptop wired to the router as a test and tell me if it works.

I am trying to determine if your router works with the internet before considering the wireless connection simplying the initial problem. Once the router works wired is time to try the wireless. Once the wireless works unsecured you may want to change the router and wireless adapter to secure the wireless network. So this can be a three step process.

Belkin Router doesn't connect to internet

GUYS, omg this is so damn unbelievable. I've searched EVERYWHERE on the internet until some genius told me that the reason why I couldn't get internet even though I connected to the router was because of the stupid Norton Internet Security Firewall that was still in use after uninstalling. After I downloaded Norton Removal Tool, EVERYTHING was back to normal. I'm NEVER going to use Norton again, I don't care how much they have improved I was using 2008 and it caused me so much trouble. I recommend everyone out there to not use Norton as well. People out there are saying that Norton is a virus itself in that it is VERY hard to uninstall.
