Go to the email addresses that you use and search for paypal.
If one of them yields any result, that usually means you have a paypal account on that email address.
Next go to paypal and try to sign in using that email address.
Paypal itself will tell you if it is still active.

You may add up to eight email addresses to your PayPal account. Remember that each email address can only be associated to one PayPal account at a time.

Here's how to add an email address:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.

Login to your account and change the emaill addy.

It sounds like you may have more than one PAYPAL account. You may have opened another PAYPAL account with a different email adderess, or possibly someone else has set up an accoun t with your credit card details. Try logging in to PAYPAL with any other email addresses you have.
