My phone dialtone is intermittent - how can I return it to normal. It was disengaged earlier and calls sent to mobile. The problem is now sorted but my landline phone is still intermittent.

According to BT's website, simply calling 150 (assuming you have a BT landline) will get you through to someone who will be able to sort this out for you.

If you do not have a BT landline you can call them on:

• From a landline: 0800 800 150
• From a mobile: 0330 1234 150*

The problem was addressed earlier and hope you check it out.

The phone's voice mail indicator works with the voice mail function from your phone service provider. When your line is busy or goes unanswered (depending on how it's set up), the message is recorded by your service provider at their end, and you need to retrieve it. Most systems give a "stutter dialtone" when you pick up the phone to make a call (a few short bursts of dialtone before it becomes steady) to tell you when there's a waiting message. The message waiting light on the phone lets you know in case you don't pick the phone often.

Once you pick up your voice mail the light will go out and the dialtone will go back to normal. Check with your service provider for how to do it.

first delete all the message from your phone memory...
Then call your mobile service provider and get the Message center number, because it varies according to the circle where your mobile service is located and it is not an unique number....!

Then check if you are able to send messages properly, and check if the messages are sent back to your inbox...

make sure the phone is plugged in. You'll need dialtone first, the other issue will fix themselves once you have dialtone!

I had the same problem, and it got fixed after I upgraded to the new skype 4.0 version

Check the phone line with a regular phone and listen for a dial-tone.

The phone is bad. Common with those models. You can get refurbished phones fairly cheap.
