The DE error or fault code indicates that the door is not latching properly. Check the lid or door operation to be sure it's not binding and that the door alignment is correct. Also, check the door/lid hinges to be sure they're not binding. Finally, make sure the door catch is in place and not broken. You may need to replace the door hook/catch or the door lock assembly

Lg front loader wd-8050fh door wont lock

Hi just read your posting.Sounds like the door lock switch is faulty.Do you get any error codes on the display?Check the door latch that is attached to the door.It is the little hook that latches into the door lock switch. The tension on the hook should be quite firm. Please reply with answers to the question and the condition of the door latch.Looking forward to your reply.

I have a LG WD - 1049C front loader washing machine showing the DE error have emptied out the washing machine and it still comes up, partner bought a new door latch and installed it but the DE is still...

DE error does mean the door latch, but there are three parts that could cause the error code.If you have changed the door lock already then the main p.c.b/computer board has failed and not registering the door lock but there is a 5-10% chance it's the wiring connecting the two parts together. So basically you need to change the main p.c.b & if that doesn't work it needs to be rewired.unless you know how to use a multi-meter then you could test the wiring for a definate answer.THANKS ECO KIZZA

Won't self clean. I am getting an error messag FSE 1.

Most likely it is F5-E1 code. self clean latch will not lock. follow procdures below, but likely problem is failed lock motor
All F5-E Codes - Door Switch Defect - This occurs when the door switches do not match. If door is latched, disconnect power from unit and check wires and connections. If damage is found, replace appropriate part. If connections are not damaged, reconnect power and hold down any key until the F5 error clears. Once the F2 code appears, select 'cancel' and observe for one minute for errors. If door is NOT latched, disconnect power from unit and check wires and connections. If damage is found, replace appropriate part. If connections are not damaged, measure door switch (door open = latch open) and latch switch (unlatch = switch open) and replace either if defective. If corrections are made during any step, power should be reconnected and the unit should be tested. Press and hold any key to clear the error code and F2 code should appear. Select 'cancel' and observe for one minute for errors. If error continues, disconnect power and replace control.

We have an LG top load model WF-T7012EN. All of a sudden it would stop and dE message will be displayed. If you try to start it again, the same scenario will happen. We had tried to level the load and...

dE indicates a door lock error. Turn off and then unplug the washer to reset the machine. Press and hold the Start/Pause button button for 5-10 seconds. Connect the power cord. Turn on the washer. Open and close the lid to see if it closes properly. Try to run the washer through a cycle.

On some LG top-loading machines, the error is simple to fix. These LG top loaders used a magnet in the front of the lid that to be in place to trigger the lock. When the magnet breaks off or is misplaced, the dE error will occur. If you find the magnet in the washer, replace it in the lid. If you don't see the magnet, get another one. Keep the magnet in place with duct tape.

On other LG washers, the problem is the door not being aligned with the lock, the lock assembly or the electronic control not getting the lock message. Make sure that the lid is closing properly. Bent hinges can cause the issue. Check the latch assembly and the wiring between the latch and the control board. To check the latch assembly, you may need to remove it from the washer. Check the circuit with a multi-meter to ensure that the switch gets power. Replace either if faulty. If the latch assembly and wiring are good, then the control board may need to be replaced.

I hope this helps.

Lg wd-8013, all lights on at end of cycle door wont open

It sounds like you have a faulty interlock. This is what locks the door during the wash cycle.Sometimes they won't unlock and need to be replaced. There may be a pull tab inside the pump access area at floor level to get door open....Not a big job for a tech......Nomess

What does dE flashing on the LG intellowasher WD1050FHB mean?

It is an indication of door error. The door is either not shutting, locking or opening.
  1. Turn off the unit and unplug it for 5 minutes then replug and turn it on. If the problem persists, proceed below.
  2. Check the door latch
  3. Check if there is something that is caught in the door and prevent it to shut properly.Remove any stuck items that might push the door latch up or down during operation.
  4. Check if the door or gasket is damaged. Damaged door or gasket will prevent the door from latching or locking properly. Replace damaged gasket. Dis-aligned door prevents the door latch to lock properly.
  5. Check the door latch for any damage. Replace if defective.

LG INTELLOWASHER DD 7KG DOOR LOCK STAYS ON WAY TO LONG

Never heard of that; I would try a new door latch as I have never had a bad control issue with the operation of the door latch. There is no real way to test it. I can getb you the latch if interested. I cannot see your reply due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks
